My family of 4 (me, husband and two girls ages 7 and 5 (will be 8 and a week shy of 6 at cruise time) are *very* excited to be on this cruise. It is our first Disney cruise and this is my first DIS post. I was excited to find this forum and a list of folks who are also doing this cruise! Did I mention that we are excited!

On another note~did anyone hear what the end result of the "glitch" of our cruise was? Regarding the missing ports on the reservation? Asking because mine never showed anything missing. Although...don't think I would mind 9 days at sea with 1 stop at Cabo.

What is Morning Madness?

Morning Madness is when you are invited to ToonTown one hour before they open TT. They do a show at City Hall with the characters and make everyone an honorary citizen for the day. Then you get to go on the rides and meet characters. If you go someone needs to get over to Mickey or Minnie's houses asap...the lines get really long. During MM Mickey and Minnie usually greet people at the door and not at the end of touring their houses.

Thanks! We had a great time. Didn't make it to Rock Store but had breakfast at Paradise Cove. Apparently, that is quite the place to spot movie stars.

I was a little concerned when I switched to this cruise a few weeks ago but I'm not too concerned now. Right now I don't think it's any different than traveling to any other foreign country

Actually not that concerned...We live close to the boarder and don't hear that much about violence that has been reported on the news. Sometimes I wonder if the news sensationalizes things.

We are taking an eastern Caribbean NYE cruise and now everyone is up in arms over the Shooting at St Thomas. From what I understand it was a single event, but since it was a cruiser that was hit with a stray bullet, it has people very worried now.

I didn't hear about that one. I don't have the news on much. DH is in Afghanistan so I'd prefer not to hear about the violence. I know, head in the sand...

He will be home in November/December and we have our fingers crossed that he will fly in the day before we depart for our cruise. He is anxious to be on the ocean!
