Hi Everyone!! Happy New Year!! I am wondering if any of you have a Limo Co. to suggest. I don't want Super Shuttle and we would like a private ride from LAX to the port. Thanks!
My friend owns a shuttle service and we are a few minutes from Long Beach Airport, not too far from LAX and the ports. I can refer him. We'll most likely use him.:drive:

Maybe we should start our own support group for those of us who want to lose weight before the cruise. I want to lose about 20 lbs, which I think is doable. I am planning on hitting the gym Mon-Fri and trying to eat grilled chicken with brown rice and veggies every night for dinner and then maybe a lean cuisine for lunch. I had good luck 5 years ago on weight watchers and lost 30 lbs. But then I went and had another baby and am still fighting 15 lbs from that pregnancy.

So speaking of eating, what nights/days is everyone thinking of booking Palo? For those of us who have cruised DCL before, our booking window is 90 days out. That would be 2 weeks from today for us (9pm PST) I am going to book the high tea first, since I have read that is the hardest to get. Any sea day is good with me. I am hoping to book brunch on the 2nd day, the 18th. Dinner I would like to do towards the middle/end of the cruise. Maybe the 21st, 23rd, or 25th. I am not going to book the spa or excursions.

Does anyone remember what time the first show is? I am trying to figure out what time is good to pick for Palo dinner, after the show. Maybe like a 7:30 dinner should be safe? I thought we could feed the kids before the show and then send them to the clubs right after.

I am in!! Going to the gym in the A.M. after I drop the kids off!! My goal is 25 to 30 pounds between now and the cruise! I think that is reasonable ...but I also know to start with small goals....:banana::banana:

Did anyone else book Palo and excursions yesterday? I forgot all about it in the a.m., but had no trouble at all in the afternoon. I've done basically NO planning for this trip, and had to make quick decisions, so I just did it! I was able to book Palo three times; 1 dinner, 1 brunch, and 1 tea. Only one excursion was already full....one of the sailing ones, I think. It's really REAL now...

Hi all I have an 11 year old Daughter that is so sure she is not going to have ANY fun on this trip! I have 3 Sons so she is always the only girl at home. She thinks she will be STUCK in the kids camps all day everyday, and I am afraid she will be stuck to ME all day!!:rolleyes: Are there any Moms out there with Daughters of the same age that she may be able to talk to on the computer before hand so she wont feel lost when we get there?? HELP me please :eek:

We will revisit the list in January and split into smaller groups to make it more manageable. We are aiming to split the groups into 15 families, give or take a few. This will give you an idea of how many to plan for. We will also have a cut off date to be added to the list, 1 or 2 months before the cruise.

It's been awhile since I was on the board and it's great to see how much it has grown. I'm getting very excited about the trip and am looking forward to some good R and R. I too hope to loose some wait before the cruise as I gained quite a bit having my mom here for all the holidays. This cruise is probably the kick in the bum that I needed. :goodvibes

First of all where would you loose 10-20 pounds you look good. I have been eating sugar free oatmeal for breakfast, salad for lunch and salad, veggies and meat for dinner with a yogurt or cheese and crackers for snacks and have lost 10 pounds. Have started working out more and hopefully will lose alot more.

My daughter is a little older now but she was 9 on our first cruise and felt the same way, worried about no knowing anyone. But we made sure to get her to the first group meeting on the first night, she found some great friends and we hardly saw her the rest of the cruise!

We have to wait until the 16th also. We're going to try to book Palo dinner on the 25th since it's our wedding anniversary. I am also hoping that with so many sea days, tea and brunch will be easier to get too... Helen - do you want to book Palo together? Any preference on dates for dinner/brunch/tea?

Good luck with everyone in the weight loss challenge! I'm tempted to say count me in, but I'm terrible at both dieting and exercising! Although I'll need to order a new swim suit if I don't lose a few pounds...

Yes, that would be great. We can do just the breakfast and brunch together so that you guys can do the dinner just the 2 of you for your anniversary.
