Day 3: Lunch at Tutto Italia
We weren't originally going to go here until I read some great reviews about it on the Dis. Being from NY, we are able to get really good Italian food anytime we want, so we usually avoid it on vacation because it just doesn't taste the same. Everyone said it was great though, and the pics looked wonderful. So I cancelled Teppen Edo and booked Tutto Italia.
Now, we're not the most time conscious people sometimes. And we really underestimated how long it would take to get to Epcot from the GF, and then Italy is way on the other side and it was crazy hot out!

We ended up getting there around 30 minutes late but it was not a problem and they seated us right away.
I love how the servers in Epcot are from each respective country, it really is like going around the world!
I had a Melograno Splash - pomegranate juice, ice and soda. I'm usually not a huge fan of seltzer but this was so refreshing and crisp. DF took a sip and really liked it too.
For appetizers, I had the Prosciutto di Parma - ham with thin slices of seasonal melon. It looks like just prosciutto on the top but there were very thin slices of very ripe melon right underneath it. I loved the salty prosciutto and the sweet melon. This was so simple but so good.
DF had the minestrone soup. He thought this was really good.
For our entrees we both got the Chicken Cutlet Milanese with baby arugula salad and heirloom tomatoes. It was so hot that we felt that pasta would be too heavy. This sounded perfect and it was so good! The portion was huge though, we could have really shared it. The chicken was juicy and crispy and the salad had a nice creamy lemon dressing.
And we had to have dessert!
I had the Copetta Sotto Bosco - berries, zabaglione cream gelato and chocolate sauce. This was AMAZING! That zabaglione cream gelato is so mild and tasty. The whipped cream, I don't know what it is, tastes richer and better than any whipped cream I've ever had in my life! They must use a special type of cream to make it. YUM!
DF had a sorbet, it was raspberry. DF thinks raspberry is the king of sorbets, so he enjoyed it.
They also sang us a fun italian celebration song when they brought out our desserts and brought out a small plate that a candle in whipped cream on it. At first I thought that was a little strange but figured they did it that way since we had already ordered dessert and a third might be overkill. But that cream was so tasty that we ate that right up too!
This restaurant is also so beautiful inside and a great place to have a meal. We would definitely go back and we both thought it was better than Le Cellier!
