Anyone know if Diet Coke Splenda is available on board now. This is the only Coke product I can safely use.

I dont know if they have that product but I do know that they have splenda on board at your request. My server brought it out to me each time I ate.

I think you better plan on bringing on board your own supply. It is OK as long as you carry it on instead of checking it. My favorite method is to put a 12 pack into a smallish suitcase; then it has a convenient handle and perhaps even wheels. If it's a seven-day cruise you may want to get a larger suitcase that can hold a couple 12-packs.

The fountain drinks often take a LONG time to catch up with diet sweetener changes. I think when coke switched from Saccarhin to Nutrasweet in cans and bottles it was 5 years before they switched the fountain syrup.

Guess I will tote my own but it would be nice to be able to get something to drink at dinner besides water and iced tea. I know they have coffee but I couldn't stand it.

That's because aspartame (Nutrasweet) doesn't do as well under fountain conditions. Diet Coke at fountain outlets is still part aspartame and part saccharin.

Talking Hands, I asked the question on the "questons for Magic Cruisers" thread since I would like the answer also.

I Diet Coke Splenda better that Diet Rite with Splenda? I couldn't handle the taste of the Diet Rite. It was way too "sweet". Hope the Diet Coke Splenda is better.

Has diet coke with splenda even gone on sale yet?

It hasn't here in the west. I did get the press release on it at work, and I thought the rollout wasn't until September......but that could also mean that they hope to have it available nationally by September.

I drink Diet Riet because Nutrasweet gives me a headache and makes me irritable. I used to drink Diet R/C but it isn't available locally anymore.

Splenda Diet Coke is available in Florida. We have been able to get it for the last 2 weeks. Very similar to Coke. I also use Diet Rite but don't particularly like the taste of the Cola. Very sensitive to nutrasweet to the point of it making me unable to walk and causing a lor of pain.

I tried the Diet Coke with Splenda, didn't particularly care for it, reminded me alot of Diet Rite. I'll stick with regular Diet Coke for now.

Teresa, glad you have that option. For some it is not an option. My only option in Coke products is Splenda Diet Coke. Anything else is off limits as a diabetic allergic to nutrasweet. For people like you the current products are fine.

It's here in Colorado...we don't live in Denver either, so I don't think it is in "large" markets only. You guys may have it in Ca, it just may be hiding well. In our grocery store, it was one stack of 12 packs, sitting with with tons of stacks of regular diet coke. They also had it in 2 litres as well.

We have it here in Boca Raton, FL and it is definately "different". It tastes much sweeter, almost syrupy. My husband liked it, I hated it. Its great for those who can't have other sweeteners like equal, etc.

It's stocked in my work cafeteria in NJ, but where I live in PA, I can't find it on the shelves yet. Too much aspartames give me migraines, so I'm excited by this change.

I just saw it yesterday here in Pgh for the first time--would like to try it--asparteme gives me headaches

We have it here in Oregon and I wasn't impressed with the taste of it at all. I was hopeful it would be better, but no such luck.

If you're someone who likes the sweetness of regular coke, but can't have the sugar, Diet Coke with Splenda is the right chioce for you.

I am totally hooked, and so is my 6 year old son Tommy. I hope it's available at fountain locations before our vacation. I would love to be able to have it in my refillable mug at WDW and from the fountain on Deck 9 on the Magic. (I am just not the type to bring it on board, I am silly like that- I am afraid to get caught)

We have Diet Coke with Splenda here in Georgia. My husband brought some home for me a few weeks ago to try, but I didn't like it. I told him that it tasted like Diet Pepsi. Then my daughter came home the other day with a bottle and told me she didn't like it either. I asked her why and she said, "It's tastes like Diet Pepsi!" Like mother, like daughter! ;)

I'm glad to see some other folks reporting that Nutrasweet (Aspartame) gives them headaches/migranes. When I mention that folks look at me like I'm imagining things. When the migrane puts you to bed and you NEVER have migranes, the reaction to Nutrasweet isn't your imagination.

I have to drink a lot of soda with Nutrasweet to get a slight headache, the irritability is what bothered me.
I'd find my self snapping and instantly wondering why I had gone of the deep end.
I'd rather be fat than irritable.
