Does anybody know if these stations sell diesel ? :confused3

Walt Disney World Gas Stations

HESS - Pleasure Island
Hours:Open 24 hours
Self-serve gas, convenience store, gift shop.
HESS - Disney-MGM Studios/Boardwalk
Hours:Open 24 hours
Self-serve gas, car wash, convenience store, gift shop.

HESS - Magic Kingdom - World Drive
Hours: Gas Islands - 7am to 2 hours after MK closing, daily
Self-service gas islands and a convenience store.

We were there in March and I first tried the gas station by the boadwalk - but no diesel. Luckily the station by the magic kingdom does sell it. One CM told me they even had the cheapest prices around!

I too was there in March, and the station on the main road out of MC did have diesel and I do believe it was cheaper then going into Orlando.

We were at WDW over Easter and fueled at the Hess on World drive near MK ( the diesel pump is on side farthest from the road and easy to access with a trailer). Their price was actually cheaper than ANY we saw through our entire time in Florida. We came down I-75 to turnpike to 27 to 192 and never saw it for less than at WDW. I just barely made it made it back into GA on the way back with the tiny 26 gal tank and a thirsty new Duramax diesel.
Just makes my arguement stronger that I should spend more time at WDW :cool1:

I have a 05 Duramax Diesel also, I avg about 12mpg pulling a 8000lb 28ft 5er. I guess I need to invest in a supertank (70gal) for next time :smooth:

When I left the house the truck only had 1500 miles on it. From what I hear the mileage doesnt level out till they get about 10-12K on them. My trailer is about 6400 lbs and I was lucky to get 10mpg running about 60-65 mph.
The only thing that might be throwing me off is the fact that I have 285 tires on it. Supposedly the dealer changed the computer to adjust for the tire size increase, I checked my mph against the stationary radars that you see in some construction zones and it is only about 2 mph low at my crusing speed. My suspicion is that they didnt get it reset as close as it should be.

I looked around at bigger/auxiliary fuel tanks and just cant swing dropping another grand into the truck. I had to stretch to pay the extra $$$ for the D-max as it was.

Scott[/QUOTScott, from what I read on a diesel forum, bigger tires do hurt your mpg, I have the stock 245 on mine, but plan to upgrade to 265 AT's. The mpg will get better arouund 10,000 like you said. go check out www.dieselplace.com if you haven't already

Duck... If you look on the dieselplace my handle is the same there,

I checked the speedo with a friends GPS and found its only about 2 1/2 mph off at 80 (truck reads 80, GPS at 82 1/2)
thats about as close as any other truck I have had so I figured they got it recalibrated. If they hadnt I am sure it would be off considerably more.

Diesel has been high here all winter and didnt really drop this spring (it got into the 40's last night so i hesitate to say spring is actually here)
I had to hunt to find it for $2.24 gal in the town I work in, at home 25 miles away its still $2.35 gal. I was in Detroit ( not because I wanted to be ) the other day and saw it for $2.15 gal.... long story short I told my wife that i should go fill up at the Hess since it was probably cheaper than here :rotfl:
she wouldnt let me :guilty:
