Diesel fuel availability near the Fort.

I just saw this posted, given that many travelers rely on diesel and this station was the closest to the Fort you may need to change your plans. Personally I have found the Racetrac on 535 near the Walmart to have the best price (my personal unscientific observation)

turnpike travel stop down and back for me, very convenient stop

I usually hit the Pilot or TA in Wildwood just before the Turnpike off of I-75. Typically top off there before heading on down. I have noticed, through Google Earth, that there is a Citgo just past the TA at that same exit that typically has cheaper diesel and appears to have easier access to diesel pump. Only thing I don't like about truck stops is they use the larger high output nozzles which are typically too big to fit my reserve tank and make a mess. Think I might actually give this one a try this go around.

Shame, is that the Shell at the Okahumpka Travel Plaza is about $.20 higher than the locals. It would be such an easy place to stop and even park for a bit if needed. But at $.20 a gallon increase that adds up on 90 gallons.
