Didn't want Aulani points until today

Was running some errands today and stopped by Ala Moana Center.

And what do I see.......a tropical looking DVC kiosk featuring Aulani.

Have seen some ads in local magazines, etc. but didn't phase me too much.

But of course, I had to stop by the kiosk.

Just went by to talk to the sales people ( who were wearing lanyards for pin trading ) and get a feel for how things were going. Very nice CM said they are getting lots of locals buying points, and of course lots of interest from the Japanese tourist.

Also said the CMs at the resort will also have lanyards for pin trading and they will have special Hawaii pins.

The nice CM gave my DD some cute Disney character stickers that had the characters surfing, lounging on the beach, etc. with "HAWAII" print.

I think what got me excited about Aulani was that my DD seems so excited about it. She kept talking about pin trading, and how neat that Disney will be so close. Her excitement is making me weak LOL

I think I have enough points already and was planning to book at the 7 month mark. But today was the first time I felt like I really wanted to buy Aulani.

I have been a big Aulani fan from day 1. I believe the resort will be very successful in the long run. I will not be buying there, but will visit.

Probably 40-50% of the owners will be from Asia, 30-40% from West coast and 20% from the East Coast.

We're excited about it! Silly, I'm sure, but I'd love to get some of those surfing stickers... I think I need to call my brother who lives in Honolulu & ask him to drive over to the site to get new pics for me, & track down some of those stickers.

I know what you mean about the stickers! When I saw the sticker of Mickey surfing somehow it made Aulani seem more real.....lol.

I am just wondering, do they have Japanese speaking CM at that kiosk? If they want to capture the Japanese tourist vacationing there. It would be a good idea to staff some one who can speak Japanese.
