Didnt realise how much construction there is at MK

I had heard about the construction still going on at MK but i was a bit a naive as I didnt realise just how much.
The left shops towards the main hub in main street, all boarded up: looked like Mickey hadnt been paying his rent.

Does anyone have a rough idea when the hub/main street construction will be finished please?

There's only 1 shop on the left side that goes the whole street (well I guess 2 if you count the food spot on the far corner). Is that what is boarded up as it was opened a couple weeks ago. It's end of year, lots of little quick refurbs for cleaning and minor sprucing up happens every year.

Main Street is eternally having something refurbed, usually the facade of a building or two.

The Hub construction is a one-time thing and is expected to be complete late this year, no specific date announced.

If you think that is a lot of construction, for goodness sake, stay away from AK. If empty buildings bother you avoid DHS.

Is Casey's still open??
Last minute on the cheap trip and planned on a meal or two there!

Casey's was open as of last Thursday. I didn't see anything boarded up so I'm not sure what the OP is talking about, everythign was open last week.

The hub construction is much less than it was my previous trip, didn't bother me at all.

I just got home yesterday. I was really bummed to see the castle closed off, but we expected it going in. Caseys was open as of Saturday

I think that you can still get into the Castle from the back side. They are completely redoing the front entrances, not a big deal and should be done soon.

Im assuming the OP is talking about how they cover the front with a scrim but still stay open.

No way they would close that much retail space.
