I tried to ues the search function and it said "The search function has been disabled by the administrator" why is this?

You'd get a quicker answer in the tech support forum. The search goes up and down. I've never asked why, just assumed "that's the way it is."

They do this in order to keep from slowing the boards down when SO many people are online.
