I called for our fantasmic dinner package too late and now there is nothing available. We are a party of 7 and 1 birthday boy. My intention was to make it carefree and not have to fight for space to watch Fantasmic but I since I called too late I was hoping for your tips and suggestions as to where a good spot to view.

Please advise!

....try to get seats as close as possible (3th or 4th row) on the right-most side (as near to Fantasmic Seating as possible), although ANY seat will give you a great, unobstructed view! Also: during what month are you planning on visiting MGM? The closer you sit, the more likely you are to get wet from the mist(used as movie screens!)....hope this helps!

I don't know when your trip is planned for, but if there are two showings of Fantasmic!, the second on is typically mentioned as the easier one to get into. I also don't think that you get much choice as to where you sit, but up front is not the best place (because you get sprayed with water). I think any place except SRO (I've done once) is fine for viewing. The times we have been seated, we have gotten in line early (I can't remember how early and it depends on when you are going), and we've eaten from the snack bar inside the arena after we've been seated. I bring along questions from our Disney Trivia game and ask them to my family, to pass the time. Someone usually starts the wave and that can take a good portion of the wait time, depending on your sense of humor.

I'm sure there are others who will have some good answers for you.

We were at MGM on Christmas eve and got good seats for Fantasmic at 17.40 for the 18.30 show. It wasn't full by any means until 18.30. A CM said that it wouldn't fill up until the Beauty and the Beast show ended at 18.00. Im glad I didn't arrive 2 hour earlier to get a seat - it was cold!! Brilliant show - not to be missed! :D

I'd recommend getting there about 45 minutes or so so before the show if you want to be able to sit anywhere. If I'm not mistaken, that's MLK weekend so crowds will most likely be elevated than usual.

I think that MLK is celebrated on Jan. 17. I was hoping that the week-end before (Jan. 15-16) would be more crowded than the week-end after (Jan 22-23).

...since you'll be there in January, DEFINITELY do not sit near the front!! You will get wet from the mist, and you will wind up FREEZING [figuratively speaking, of course!]

Since MLK is celebrated on Mon the 17th, you will have the MLK weekend crowds. Folks will take advantage of the long weekend - not the next weekend which will be a normal weekend.
