Did your kids ever ask for funny/strange things for Christmas?

My DS12 (does not believe in Santa, lol) told me about a month ago that he would like to see a spiral bound index cards in his stocking. What the heck is that all about? He said he doesn't need it for anything in particular but likes the way it looks.

DS4 wants a real space ship that is about 8 feet tall ( ? not sure why, but he says that it has to be that tall)

He also wants the Scrubbing Bubbles stick on toilet cleaner :lmao:

My 9 year old daughter wants Charmin extra soft toilet paper this year. She said "It's amazing how soft it is on your butt". Last year she wanted a shower head. Her life was complete when she opened that last year.

DS9 has asked for strange things in the past, but this year everything he wanted was "normal"

A few years ago he wanted a large pizza with extra mushrooms, last year the only gift he wanted was a pack of baseball cards. He has finally stopped asking me for princess clothes and for that I am grateful! :goodvibes

My dd 8 has turned from a princess fan into a Nightmare before christmas fan. After a recent trip to Disneyland she asked for the Jack in a coffin doll. :confused3 It is a black coffin shaped box with Jack inside resting on a purple pillow.

It was hilarious to see Santa's reaction at the mall when she asked for that. :rotfl2::rotfl:

Our DD4 wants green twist ties from the grocery store (like in the produce section). Each time we go shopping I get her one to occupy her while shopping - they must be so fun that that's all she asked for.:confused3

Arout 5 years ago my DD asked for a box of Kleenex that they make special during the holiday season so now it has become a tradition that each year we get her a box of Christmas decorated Kleenex.

My youngest went through a phase where she wanted a clorox bleach pen. She was 4 or 5 and would tell everyone she wanted one. This lasted for over a year--Christmas, Easter, B-day:confused3

A red sled. Seems benign enough but 2 years ago that is what my nephew asked Santa for......... my sil couldn't find one ANYWHERE and she was 8 months pregnant so my mother and I took on the challenge. We found one at a little hole in the wall hardware store.......... on Christmas Eve. We were the heroes let me tell you!!

My mom was showing me my old letters to Santa today and one year when I was 4, I asked for a bag of magic. My letter Said, "Santa I only want magic this year. Because If I have your magic, then I can make myself anything I wanted."

My older DD when she was about 8 years old she wanted a Monkey for Christmas, a real monkey, she said Santa could bring it with magic. :lovestruc

Younger DD when she was 6 YO, wanted a Parrot.

Yeah, when DS23 was 5yo he waited until Dec 12 to tell me that he eally really really wanted a Zorro costume. This was before you could easily order something off the internet and very few stores stocked costumes year round. I ended up buying a pair of black jeans, a black turtleneck, black cowboy boots, and a black fedora with red pompoms on the brim  I ripped off the pompoms, bought some black satin and made a mask and a bodacious cape! and I found a plastic saber, to boot.

Arriba! Zorro is in da house!

When my daughter was 3, all she wanted from Santa was a fly swatter.

Yup...not a typo. A fly swatter.

The Winnie-the Pooh Christmas special had Rabbit, who wanted that...to keep the bugs off his carrots. So whenever anyone asked what she wanted, she'd say "A fly swatter...to keep the bugs off my carrots". She was really serious.

So, three days before Christmas I sent my DH out in search of a fly swatter. He finally found one and went to pay.

Clerk: "Sir...fly problem? In December??"
DH: "Oh no, its a Christmas present for my daughter".

The look on the clerk's face was priceless.

I have video of my daughter when she opened that fly swatter. She danced around the tree for five minutes, singing "Santa BROUGHT it, Santa BROUGHT it!!!"

When my oldest son was about 10, he asked that he NOT get the original Chia Pet that we routinely passed among family members, paid for disguised boxing and extravagant gift wrapping, and no one knew who would get it! He just wanted a pair of Air Jordans. ORIGINAL Air Jordans.

Oh, so I see my sister isn't the only kid who had a Zorro fixation! :rotfl:
