Did your Kidani SV waitlist come through for November?

For anyone who is waiting on a SV 1 BR at Kidani, did it come through?

This is my first experience booking as a DVC member and I took the standard view and was waitlisted for a savannah view. Is it too early to even think about the waitlist coming through?

TIA!

Your mileage may vary, but what I've heard is that wait lists for long stays are harder to come through then short stay wait lists.

I have a standard view studio (Kidani) for 11/30 - 12/5 and am waitlisted to upgrade that to a savanah view, but I don't want a split stay / move in my vacation so all 5 nights would have to become available for it to come through (last I checked about a week ago, there was a savanah studio available for 12/1 but that was it).

Since I posted this message, I've read negative things about the Savannah view rooms. The most common issue seems to be the lack of animal spottings. Plus, I think (but have to double check) the Savannah view is about 40 more points for the week, than the standard view.

I may just bag the whole savannah view waitlist. I told the booking agent to go ahead and put me on the 7-day advance waitlist vs the 30 day list. Obviously, this puts 40 points in limbo and given the less than stellar feedback, I don't think I'm feeling good about doing that.

Does anyone know if kindani is due to declare any more rooms? Does this open space on the pending waitlisters? We are Wl for Nov. 23-26. It would be nice to do a split stay.:goodvibes

We stayed at Kidani last December and had an incredible Savannah view for animal viewing. Several animals fed close to our balcony. We were on the same floor as the lobby.

The reports I have read suggest requesting a lower floor (at Kidani anyway). The higher floors have more of a tree top view. These high floors can see animals near the balcony, but not further out. From our lower floor, we could see animals all over the Savannah.

In fact, the Kilmanjaro Safari ride at AK was a disappointment compared to the views from our Kidani balcony.
