We recently purchased a Sungli for DS since he is not liking the sling lately. The first time we used it was at the apple orchard 2 weeks ago. DH wouldn't wear it until he saw anothe Dad wearing one.

Yesterday we went to the mall to return some things. He volumteered to wear DS. On the way into the store he asked me if he "looked like a dork". Of course I told him he didn't and he mumbled something about his "reputation". LOL! Walking in the mall Eli got all kinds of oo's and ah's and lots of nice comments to DH. :)

So I was wondering if many Dads wore their babies. :)

My DH never liked wearing the babies. I used a Snugli w/ DD and a sling w/ DS. They both loved being in them but were never as comfy with their Dad. He said it was because he lacked the 'extra cushion' in the chest (okay, he said it in different words but I don't think they are suitable for the DisBoards).

DH carried DS around in the snugli at his college librarywhen he was finishing up his degree. Now DS attends the same college.

DH never "wore" our kids but I think that is because they really never liked the Snuglis. He does push the stroller around..does that count? ;)

My dh wore our ds all the time. And we were only 23 at the time, so it definitely wasn't "cool". ;)

We never had a Snugli but hubby did have one of those backpack contraptions that he'd use to carry our dd around. We used it on walks and stuff. He looked wicked hot using it too. Well, I guess he looks wicked hot anyway lol.

I think a daddy with a baby in a snugli is a chick magnet! :goodvibes

Uh, not the look I'd want my DH going for. ;) He didn't wear any of our babies, but he didn't mind carrying them or changing their dirty diapers, so I guess it all evened out.

Yep. DH wore Paul quite a lot in his Bjorn AND even in his sling - which we used more because Paul liked it better. What a guy! :lovestruc

Now he mostly "wears" him on his shoulders. :goodvibes

when we had the twins a neighbor lent us a second baby bjorn (we already had one) so dh and I used to each wear a baby when we went to target, etc. The baby bjorns were godsends...they allowed us to leave our house those first months. Loved them. So yet, he did wear a baby. :)

I use my Bjorn all the time, hubby uses it too. He likes to take the baby in the stroller more though and yes- I have seen the attention he gets from the ladies. He pretends that it doesn't mean anything to him.

Nope, we made a rule before we ever had kids that we would never leash them or wear them.

I "wear" our littlest with one of 3 different types of slings/wraps. Hubby has "worn" our son when he was a baby (now 2.5yo) and currently our baby girl with a Snugli.

It's all good. :smooth:

Yup my dh did. I think what helped was that we bought a Baby Bjorn that was navy blue. He felt more comfortable wearing it since it wasn't covered in a baby print.

Nope, but then again neither did I. I either carried them or they were in a stroller. DH was more than willing to carry them, change diapers and feed them, so what more could I want?

DH did not, but I think its wonderful that your husband wears Eli!

I have so many pics of my boys sleeping soundly on their Daddy's chest. My boys loved to sleep on Dad in the rocking chair or recliner. I think because it was just like Mommy, without the "bumps"! :p
