Did you want a different user name other than the one you are using?

When you signed up for the DIS, did you try to use another user name, only to find it was already taken? Everytime I log in and use Colleen A, I always find myself wanting to leave the A out!! Someone had taken Colleen, but in the 3 years I've been on the boards, I've yet to see her!

Did you want another name or was your first choice available??

My first choice was available, but after I signed up, I wished I had browsed around the boards a bit more before choosing my user name. I should have picked a Disney "themed" name, but I didn't know if people "did that" or not.

I use ltldeb for everything. If it's already taken when I try and sign up on a new site, I just try adding the year I was born to the end, that way I can still use what I originally wanted.

Not exactly the same situation, but my "other" name wasn't very Disney, so I decided for this board to change it. I'm known on most of my other boards as Johnny Mo.

I have thought about changing it a few times but I guess I am just too lazy to do it. I think it would be fun sometimes to have a "Disney" name but at least this way it is easy for people to remember my real name.

Not really. I like using my name as my user name. It just makes things simpler for me.

I didn't understand the concept of a user name when I first signed up for the DIS. I wish I had lurked a bit more first before signing up.

I probably would have just done my first name, but it's a lot easier than the mumbo jumbo that is my user name now!

I wish I could have used my name - Mary - just once somewhere. When your name is Mary it's almost always taken. It was when I found the DIS, but last I looked, whoever had it had like 59 posts and this was a while ago. It's too bad people who don't post or login for like a year just can't be deleted, ya know?

Zulaya is a character from the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey. I have yet to have it be taken when I sign up for anything.

I wanted Debbie (the "real" spelling of my name), but that name was already taken. So, I modified it a bit, and I became Debi.

I would love another name! I had just moved and felt excited about it so I chose my current lame name that reflects where I live. The biggest problem is that I've moved again but I hate to change it now.
