Did you transport door magnets on airplaine in carry on?

I have a quick question for all who would know:
Have you transported your stateroom door magnets in your suitcase, or in your carry-on?
Were there any TSA/security issues? Did you have to open your carry-on/show the magnets?

I know that fridge magnets didn't set off anything strange when I went from BWI to KCI with them in my carry on.

A quick search on TSA.gov's website shows that magnets can be in either your checked or carry on bag.

THANK YOU! I was just hoping that other travelers can confirm that they didn't have to pull theirs out of the carry on - they are supposed to be a birthday surprise!

We always bring them in the carry-on. Never a problem so far and we have several in one bag.

No problem

For me I didn't have to take them out of my carry on. They were in my front zipper maybe that helped TSA when it came to the x-ray but IDK on that?

Well, I have too many magnets.

I usually break them up into our two checked bags and my carry on bag. To be sure that I don't set of any alarms or anything. And that way, I have some for immediately putting on my door when we can get to our room.

Never had to show them my magnets in my carry on bag.

We had half a dozen large magnets for our door. We put them in our carry on and TSA didn't say anything in Phoenix, or on the way home at LAX.

Ditto. No problems with any of our three cruises. Always had them in carry on.

Just got back from cruise/WDW on Tuesday and had many door decorations with magnets. No issue flying down or back with them in my carryon. We were not TSA precheck going down but were coming back. No problems either way.
