The guy is a DL CM, all the others who sang and danced with him are also CM's (the lady in the ECV is in Aladdin) so it was "staged" in that sense, but his now fiancee had no idea and yes, it was a real proposal.

OMG thanks for posting this because after it was over I looked on the side bar and started watching another one. The other one I watched was a proposal that a good friend of mine in high school did for his fiance. I didnt know he had gotten engaged (we havent seen each other since high school), and I was able to find out how to get in contact w/ him to wish him a congratulations. Thanks for helping reconnect some old friends.
