Did you see Regis and Kelly today? (Monday)

I am so excited!!! This morning during the opening, Regis showed something I sent in!

Regis often calls Kelly "Skeezix" because she has some hair at her part that always stands up. This reminds him of the old comics character Skeezix. A few weeks ago I sent in a Skeezix mask from an old Wheaties box and some information about the Gasoline Alley comic strip. Today, Regis showed the mask and read a very small portion of the note I sent. He put the mask up to Kelly to show the resemblance.

The funniest part of the whole bit was Regis tring to open the bag I sent the mask in. He was tearing at it when Kelly took it from him, told him to be careful and that it was a ziploc bag.

It was alot of fun to see the mask on tv today.

That was from you?!?!?!? I saw the opening and that part, it was a riot!! That mask looked really old, are you sure it's not worth something as a collector's item???

Us DISers really get around. First the Travel Channel, and now Regis & Kelly!

I did see it! I had the same thought that the mask was in such good shape that it might have value -- at least sentimental value. I think Kelly was concerned about that, too since she wouldn't let Regis "punch out" the eyes etc.

I hope you get a nice note back from Regis. He seemed to get a real kick out of receiving it.

Thank you all for sharing my enthusiasm!! It was so fun to watch and since I taped it , I've watched it a few more times.

To answer some of the questions....

I did not know it would be shown today but I taped the show because I was cleaning house when it was on. I NEVER miss a show. It is "must see" for me!

My Dad used to read us his old Skeezix comics when I was growing up. They were so much fun to hear. I purchased the Skeezix mask from ebay and it was not expensive. I was happy to send it to Regis and just hoped it would give him a smile as Regis truly brightens my days with his stories.

As far as his tearing open a ziploc...I had folded and taped the side of the bag so he was ripping open the tape and, I guess, did not see the ziploc. When my DH saw the tape from this morning he was upset! He couldn't understand why Regis was being so destructive and careless. So I had to say to my husband...."Let Regis be Regis".

I'll post if I hear anything from Regis about the mask but I am just happy to know he got it!
