He didn't like Bruno's opinion of his jive and felt it was insulting and inappropriate. Does this guy know he was in a dance competition? Did he think he danced better than those who got to stay? He may "sing" but he is certainly no entertainer. I have never seen anyone with such a flat affect and out of touch with what he can and cannot do. (Well I have but to mention his name would be political, ;) )

I completely agree, though my political person is different from yours. I thought Bolton seemed like a TOTAL jerk!

I mean, don't we usually hear; "Its been a fantastic experience. Everyone worked very hard, I met wonderful people, its the most fun I have had, etc, etc."

Exactly. Not only was he not a fun or personable celebrity but he left with zero tact or grace. I was thinking, lighten up dude. I actually enjoy his music so I was looking forward to seeing him but besides being a horrendous dancer he just seemed like a huge tool!

I've been a MB fan for 20 years and I was surprised when he was picked for DWTS because he's not known to be a warm and fuzzy type of person - he's got a dry sense of humor and is a little full of himself. With that said, I enjoy his music and seeing him in concert.

I do think that Bruno crossed the line - granted the performance was not good but MB was having fun (and I hear he was practicing until 2 am) trying to learn how to dance. The unfortunate thing on DWTS is that there are so many contestants on there who are just shy of being a professional dancer that the ones who are going on the show who are truly amateurs are at a huge disadvantage. I think he felt mortified and humiliated because Bruno was making personal insults and mean. I can't imagine many stars who aren't good dancers will ever come on this show now after seeing how they will be humiliated for giving something new a try.

Edited - Also, he didn't go on Jimmy Kimmel because he went to perform a concert right after the show last night, of course he was being called a jerk for not sticking around for interviews.

There are those who can dance and those who can't. He should be able to open his eyes and see where he fits in. Bruno may have been "brutal" but he was honest. Bolton should have cowboyed up, laughed it off and found something nice to say. His behavior was narcissistic. I didn't have an opinion of him one way or the other prior to DWTS, now I see him as a huge jerk.

I have to completely agree with you Dawn. I didn't think Bruno was the least bit personal. I thought he was honest and did his job. Bolton was terrible. He should have laughed it off and acted like he was having a good time. Instead he acted like a total creepazoid.

I agree that Michael Bolton was not a good dancer. I do think Bruno was unfair. How many other bad dancers have been treated the way Michael was by Bruno? Even Len was shocked. Let's have Bruno sing and then give him a 2!

I have always thought MB was good singer and "assumed" he had some rhythm but was totally not prepared for the way he just moved like a zombie and then had no come back when they tried to talk to him it really shocked me:confused3 was like he not actually "there". was very strange. Then heard today he flew to a concert after that show????? still very strange the way he acted.:sad2:

What did this judge say? I don't like this show but you guys have made me curious!

If he is horrible at it, and he signed up to be judged for it, then he would deserve a 2!

Exactly, It was bizarre!

Here is what I said yesterday over on the DWTS thread.

On Monday nights show, Bruno walked that fine edge of being brutially honest and being insultingly honest when giving his evaluation of the performance. From his reaction and comments last night, Bolton took the comments as insulting. Which, I would have as well. But I don't disagree with what Bruno was trying to say, his choise of words that he used, could have been different.

The words he used, are the issue. His evaluation of the dance, is not an issue. There are a thousand different ways to have made his point, without being insulting. That is they only issue I had with Bruno. Was it the worst jive ever, maybe, I haven't watched every season, so I can't say.

I agree. Bolton is an experienced performer. He should have been able to evaluate his own skills as a dancer and understand that he was no where as good as the others.
Bruno was brutally honest and perhaps could have delivered the same message in a different way, but Bolton also could have been more gracious like others that have been voted off have been.

Bolton was baaaad, I mean really, really awful. The Bruno's & Simon Cowells of reality tv are there for their "spicyness". Bolton should have shrugged it off. As long as he has been in show business he knows how ruthless it can be and I can't believe this is the first rejection he's ever gotten.

Bruno said that it was the worst jive he had seen in his eleven years of judging the show. Bolton said he was owed an apology because his mother who is 90 was in the audience.

Out of curiosity, did the Hoff have a hissy fit?

No he did not. He went out very gracefully. While Bruno did say it was the worst Jive in all the seasons they have had, there was a lot more to the evaluation. I don't remember it what all exactly he said. I know you can see the entire show on ABC's website. Don't know if someone has posted just the judges remarks somewhere on the web or not.
