DD and I pranked each other.
She's on Spring Break this week and was chilling in the basement. I came down in somewhat of a panic and said "Did you forget about your grandparents coming today?!" She said "Oh, no! You never told me!" and ran upstairs to clean her room and bath. She did a great job.
I wrote the words "April Fools" on the calendar for April 1. When she finished cleaning, I said, "Have you checked the calendar today?" She looked. Then, she got it. "AAAAGH!" I laughed so hard (and i got a teen to clean her room).
Okay, so last night about 9:00pm, she gets me. I had forgotten all about the day.
She did an elaborate make-up job on her forehead (she and her cousins are actors who've learned to do fake blood, bruises, etc.). Anyway, she drops something heavy upstairs and then comes down in a panic. "Mom, that heavy picture frame on my wall just fell and hit me on the head. Is it bad?" I see the blood. I have a small panic. Then, she grins. "April Fools!"
We both had a good laugh. I don't mind that kind of "lie" at all. I find it humorous!
