you would to to a lot ?

In my 20,s there was a bar called "the Bucket Shop" that was my place, it sure wasnt for everyone but I loved it at that age

OMG yes, I had several!

The Espy - St Kilda, best place for live music.

The Collingwood Club - Collingwood, another live music venue. They had a mix of band playing throughout the nights so you could listen to rock, blues, country, or punk in the same night.

Bridge Hotel - Richmond

Geebung Polo Club - Hawthorn, if we felt like poshing it up.

Young & Jackson - Melbourne CBD

We occasionally went into King St for the nightclubs but not often, I wouldn't dream of going these days and would never recommend anyone to visit - far too violent now.

These were back in the days when a lot of these places were open until 7am in the morning, I believe a few changes have been made to many of the places.

I had several I enjoyed each for different reasons, one had prettier girls, some better atmosphere and Another I had a lot of cousins that would hang out at and shoot pool or darts but this place was a dive, fights on a nightly basis, cops their basically all the time, it was rough. It was actually nicknamed "The Bloody Bucket" but it was always entertaining

When I had a fake Id or real one? Lol

There were a couple, oh the memories. My thing was I liked to go to places with a band and get my dance on.

YES!!!
2 actually!!

One closed down for a time and quite of few patrons transferred so to say, to the other. They were great times!!

In '95 a Microbrewery pub opened about 13 miles away. It quickly became my favorite as you didn't have to feel strange going there alone. I met so many friends over several years and eventually worked there for about 4 years. They closed under mysterious circumstances a few years ago.

We have the favorite bar that we can walk to for Highballs and wet burritos. We have our favorite bar in Key West, where we'll be in 10 days. Open air bar where we sit by the sidewalk on Duval St. and drink fresh squeezed grapefruit juice and vodka.

When we were in college, my group of friends spent many evenings hanging out at The Cafe. In the winter we sat inside and listened to the bands; in the spring and summer we sat outside on the patio. We knew several of the bartenders well enough that they would hold a table for us and load it with drinks before we arrived so we didn't miss the happy hour prices.

Those were some fun days....

Yep, when I was 18 most weekends would be spent at U4IA.

I wasn't a drinker but my friends were. There was one bar they frequented - someone's brother was the bartender - that was just the way a bar should look. I loved that place.

There was the Past Time. It was the bar everyone swore they never went to, but everyone was at.
In Sacramento it was Lorees. Fantastic karaoke and great bartenders. I miss going.

The Bell Blvd Irish bars in Bayside, Queens, were a lot of fun in the late '80's.

One Station Plaza and the Minstrel Boy in particular were well worth the ride to Queens.

Oh my back in the day we "hung" out at:

In Chicago area.....The 4 O'Clock, The Comeback Inn, and some bar on Clark's Street
Ft. Collins, CO.......Red Garter (cowboy bar); Washington's (disco baby), and The Brass Pig (piano bar)

Now DH and I will go to Firekeeper's casino and have a beverage or two at Cabaret. :)

My roommate in college & I spent so much time in The Body Shop the waitress would just bring our drinks without us even ordering.

In my 20's practically every Friday & Saturday in The Station in Washington, MO. Met my wife there. May go there tonight, though it's not called that anymore.

We are not drinkers, but when my husband is trying to be amusing he tells me he's going to The Regal Beagle.....:)
So that is our favorite bar.

My favorite bar goes back to when I turned 21(1963). My hometown is a small (2,500) town in East Central Indiana and the bar was named Fadely's Tavern. They had great sandwiches and cold beer. On every Saturday their special sandwich was mountain oysters. The local vet would bring in buckets full of "oysters" and trade them for cases of beer. The "oysters" were cleaned and breaded for the Saturday feast. At that time it was legal to have a stag bar, it was this way until the law changed a couple of years later. This dive has been closed for a few years now, but was real colorful in its day.

My favorite college bar was Rubles Lounge in Muncie, IN. Pitchers of beer for $1.00, of course this was the early '60's.

When I was in my mid20s I loved this place called PJ Horgan's. It was a small local bar with the best burgers of anywhere.

The Bell Blvd Irish bars in Bayside, Queens, were a lot of fun in the late '80's.

One Station Plaza and the Minstrel Boy in particular were well worth the ride to Queens.

I live in bayside now. I loved the Minstrel Boy!

Wasn't it great? Carl and Larry used to play there, and Mike Gilboy was the bartender. It was a wonderful place back in the day.

It really was!! A great neighborhood bar!!

Bourbon street is ok but not the same at all.
