Did you miss Paula?

I can honestly say I didn't really miss her at all (surprised because I thought I would). I don't think Victoria was really necessary, I think it would have been fine with just Kara, Randy and Simon. I never really liked or disliked Paula, I was always kind of indifferent. I'm not sure how I feel about Ellen joining the show, I was not impressed when she guest judged on SYTYCD....she was funny but offered absolutely no critique.

I couldn't sleep last night so I watched the episode. After the first few minutes I totally forgot that Paula wasn't there and didn't even think about it again until you posted this question.

Nope. I didn't miss her but the whole time I watched it last night I kept thinking about Simon leaving. Now that is going to be sad.

Nope, not a bit. She was usually the reason I would change the channel actually, so this season I will likely watch more than in previous years.

Because she is SOOO thin, you barely notice her! I love Kara, she can actually talk and make sense and I agree with a LOT of what she says!

I agree, I don't know why everyone hates her so much! She gets annoying at times, but they all do. But she usually has constructive things to say.

I cannot help but think some of it is a reflection of some bias against women. Imagine if she really was as strong and forceful as Simon. Yipes.

I didn't miss her at all. I didn't realize how much I liked Randy until last night. I did like Posh Spice though.

I think Ellen will be a fun addition but nothing else. Kara is growing on me, last year I had a love/hate relationship with her.

The show will not survive without Simon next year though.

I voted "other" because I was thrilled to death that she was gone and I didn't have to listen to her (or fast forward her) anymore!

I agree, it wasn't really noticeable that she was gone last night. However I think that when the semi-finals start she'll be missed a lot more, because the contestants are so nervous and need her positive comments then.

And count me in as someone who likes Kara, she knows what she's talking about and has a lot of valuable criticism. I think that people were just upset about adding a 4th judge last season no matter who it was, so they looked for things to dislike about her. Hopefully with this being her second year people will come to like her more.

Finally, Randy has to realize he cannot get away with mean comments like Simon. People expect them from Simon, and it's true, in a way he is charming. With Randy, though it just comes off as really insensitive. There were things he said last night that he really should've just kept to himself.
