dtr 10 wants to do this, i am not doing it, can she do it alone, and of course they will let me go with her right?
We went parasailing at CC and loved it. They took every precaution for safety. I am a "chicken" when it comes to water and heights, but I read the parasailing thread on the DIS boards before I left and it convinced me to try it. I am so glad I did. They even took us close to the Flying Dutchman. We gave them a nice tip for their great service.dreamydays said:My kids both did it. They went tandem with my husband and I. It was glorious and we all loved it. Would do it again in a heartbeat.... There were some younger kids that went, as well, and they enjoyed it, too. It was peaceful and secure feeling. The take off and landing was never scary. The toe-dip was warm and fun, as well.
The operators will not let your young one go alone. I think that YOU should go with her!!! I believe that the child's reaction may depend on personality. If your daughter is generally very cautious, this might not be the thing for her. If she is adventurous and you can bring yourself to go, it is an amazing experience. GO FOR IT!!!! (We greatly preferred the parasail over the salt water-in-the-eyes, bouncy, banana boat that felt like you were going to fall off any minute!)

Kcross3625 said:I read on the excursion list that the minimum weight is 90lbs. Does anyone know if that is the minimum weight for each person or together for tandem parasailing? My DD9 would love to do this but she only weighs 48lbs (she is very small for her age). Obviously I would go tandem with her due to her age, but don't know if together we need to be at least 90lbs or each person has to be 90lbs.
Thanks, Kim
