I was thinking that this might be an interesting idea for a thread... Is there something that you know about Disneyland that nobody else seems to know. Do you know something that other Disneyland Visitors may find helpful but never thought to ask? List it here....

Here I'll Start....

Did you know that if you are staying in a DLR resort hotel you can rent a wheelchair for your entire stay and even take it back to your room at night? This applies only to wheelchairs and not the ECV's. Just let them know when you are renting it the first day that you want it for the entire stay. They will make you fill out a loan agreement which you will show to security at the bag check whenever you exit the park. You still can't bring it on the monorail if thats how you planned on exiting the park. ;)

Did you know... you can get take-home boxes at places like Ariel's? We often end up with a box of the desserts since they bring you so many!

We are a family of 4 and were eating a birthday princess breakfast with a family of 5. The other mom (a former annual pass holder) pointed out that we should take the fruit. OMG we ate off of that all morning and into the afternoon. I recall it helping so much in the TSMM line and in the line at Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Did you know that.... you can use all FP after the return time listed? I know it's been said many times, but I always find either socal natives or common visitors who don't know about this.

Did you know...

....that there are free lockers behind the DVC booth near Grizzly River Run (to store your bags while the rest of you is getting soaked)?

Did you know....that Disney developed a shade of paint called"go away green",that is used on construction in Disneyland. It blends the construction into the surrounding area,so that the colours of other buildings and such are more pronounced. Does anyone know if that is the paint colour used on the door of Club 33?

Nothing to add here but subscribing :thumbsup2

Not really related to Disneyland secrets but did you know that you can subscribe to a thread by clicking the arrow beside where it says "Thread Tools" and selecting "Subscribe to this Thread", located at the top of the first post in a thread?

After years of posting a message in order to subscribe to a thread, I finally discovered this little option! :)

Did you know that...

...you can get your soup served in a cup on the side rather than inside the bread bowl?

...you can order a corn dog a la carte if you don't want the potato chips or apple wedges?

...you can ask for your meals at Pizza Port or Plaza Inn (possibly some other places too, we just haven't tried yet) to be packaged "to go"?

How much do they take off of the price of the corn dog when you order it a la carte?

Sorry, I don't remember, but since the kids usually have chips or popcorn or something with them already and they don't like the apples, it just makes sense to us to save whatever money we can.

I knew this, but was shocked to find out that my friend, who is an OC native, worked at DL the summer between HS & college, got married at DL and now goes at least every other weekend did NOT know this info. (She says that she tends not to go on the FP rides, but still!)

I heard they use scents in their air cond or heaters to entise you, like cookie, cotton candy smells etc, kinda like casinos

Did you know that if you happen to be in the park after hours for some reason, DL becomes a "backstage area" and no picture taking is allowed? You must be escorted out by a CM. I just found this out after having dinner at Club 33 and finishing at midnight. The park closed at 9, Main St at 10 so we were walked out to the entrance and instructed not to take any pictures.

Did you know that you can steer the Mark Twain (up to four can go up with the Captain)? Just ask the CM at the turnstyle!

This was one of my favourite tips I got from a Dis'er!

Not sure if this will work, but here is a pic of my little guy steering the MT this past summer.

Did you know that despite it even being witten on the disneyland.com website and despite what everyone on disboards believes, the timeframe to set up dining reservations is not 60 days prior to the date you want the reservation. It is infact 2 months to the day prior to the date you want the reservation. Is there a difference? Yes.... Will it make a difference? Probably not! How is that different? Say you want a reservation for August 10th... You can call on June 10th (62 days out) to make that reservation. If you wait til 60 days out you would be calling on June 12 since June and July both have 31 days. ;)
