Did you know that if you have a Disney Club Card you may receive the same rate as Codes CGK, CEW & CEP? I called yesterday for the AKL Savannah View & received the DC Special Rate for my August stay. The CM checked & it is the same rate as the other advertised codes. I've got 5 nights @ AKL Savannah View for $1,138.18! She was a very nice & accomodating CM.

I guess I am a little confused. You seem to have received a bigger discount than is available through DC. It is usually 15%. Did you call the 1-800 # and ask for a code rate or did you call asking for the DC discount and they suggested using a code? It sounds like you called asking for the DC rate and the CM was very helpful in getting a code rate. I have the DC card and would like to know what to say when I call. We are booked at the DC rate for Nov. and received 15% off. I was just waiting for codes to come out. Any help to save a buck or too would be greatly appreciated.

I believe what Geri is referring to is the codes that were released for the summer on the Disney Club website at the beginning of April. They were released on the website about a week before the other codes were released for the general public. They aren't the actual DC discount, but rather a 3 letter code. The CM probably saw that she was a DC member and gave one of the 3 letter codes rather than the smaller DC/AAA discount.

I called the DC toll free phone #, the CM asked for my DC card number without me even offering. She said that the DC had a Special Rate. After I asked, she checked each of the 3 codes I listed in my original post & said that the DC Special Rate was exactly the same as the codes. According to the CM I spoke to the rate I received is a DC Special Rate. It is note related to the codes.

I just checked the Disney Club website and Mousesavers.com. Codes CGK, CEW, and CEP are codes that anyone can use. The exact same discount is listed on the Disney Club website under code ZWFJ. I am sure that this is what the CM was referring to when she said DC Special Rate. From what it says on the website, this code is only available to DC members. Since only a certain number of rooms are held for each code, this increases the chance for a DC member to get the discount. Just didn't want anyone getting confused and thinking that the DC was offering a new discount than the two that are currently out there for the summer.

Thank you very much. Now I get it. I knew about the DC code that was put out April first. I guess it does pay to have the DC card. Thanks for the clarification.
