Did you have second thoughts after buying your dress?

I ordered my dress a few weeks ago. It won't be in until mid March. As time goes by I'm feeling more and more nervous about my choice. I loved it in the store and when I look back at pictures I love it but every once in a while I'll get panicky and feel like maybe I made the wrong choice. Please tell me this is normal, all sales were final when I bought the dress! I should probably stop watching "say yes to the dress" huh?

i think it is very normal. after i bought mine, i just really tried not to look over mgazines etc... in terms of dress shopping - there will ALWAYS be something neater, newer, different, less expensive, more expensive - but i did not curtail my wedding TV viewing!

Yep. Although I had doubts after I picked it up. I've decided I'm not trying it on until 6 weeks before the wedding, when I have to get it altered. I think it's probably Say Yes to the Dress that's changing my mind so much. Oh yeah, and the fact that the AA Disney dresses came out a couple weeks after I bought my dress....grrrrr

Jilian this is quite normal - we all have dress doubts and other doubts about the choices we make. It just shows you care :)

Yep. I always dour my dress choice....until I try it on!

I recently posted pretty much the same question over on another forum. Turns out it is quite normal! In my case I ordered the dress back in May last year and I've just recently had a call to say it's arrived at the store. Just recently though I've started to have doubts, mainly because I stumbled across one of the newer designs they've put out that is the exact dress I was imagining when I first went out dress shopping.

For now I'm just putting it down to the fact that I haven't actually seen my dress in almost 9 months and keeping my fingers crossed that when I go in for my fitting I'll fall in love with it all over again.

Yep, but it was several months after I brought the dress home. I'm storing it at my fiance's parents place so I can't look at it. It wound up changing in my mind. So I had a moment where I stumbled across another dress and had my second thoughts. Then my fiance and I put on my original dress, and I knew the first one was it.

Oh yea- I have big time dress doubts! I bought it because it was dirt cheap, more than anything. I liked it and all, but I was never thrilled. I did end up going out to buy another one- and I'm so happy with that one I have no interest in looking at anymore. It's totally normal to feel that way. If my first one hadn't been 100 bucks, I wouldn't have gotten a second.

I'm glad this is normal. I know if it were here and I could try it on a few more times I'd feel better about it. Say yes to the dress is really not helping! I'm gonna have to stop watching.

I'm in the same boat, not only did the AA dresses come out a few weeks after I bought my dress, an AA store opened right near me, and that is where I went to look at bridesmaid dresses. Even though I love my dress, I didn't try on very many dresses and it was very hard to resist not trying on the AA Disney dresses when they were right in front of my face! It is deff. normal!

Ugghhh I know. I want to try on those disney dresses SO BAD. I'm refusing to though, because I know I'll fall in love with atleast one of them. And it's just not in the budget for 2 dresses...boo!!!!

I did the same thing!! The AA Snow white dress was the only one I tried on and I bought it! I am worried that I didn't get the best bang for my buck but it was so beautiful. I feel like there are similar dresses for less but it is pretty, just hope I like it in 4 months!

I am sure you will love it! I havent bought my dress yet but I know I will be the same - worrying if i will still love it!x

I think that having second thoughts is completely normal! Try not to look at other dresses though, that makes it worse. In my experience, I bought my dress early, and it was almost a year before I saw it again - so I sort of forgot what it looked like on me and I was afraid that I wouldn't like it when I got it. But once they brought 'my' dress out to me to put on, I fell in love all over again. I am sure you made the right choice and you will continue to love it!

I did the same thing. I panicked big time!!

My dress was the first I tried on and I bought it at a huge discount at a trunk show so there was no returning or exchanging it. I bought it almost a year and a half before the wedding. So as time got closer I got more and more worried I made the wrong decision. On my wedding day I couldn't have been happier... and I was too busy swooning over my husband to worry about what dress I was wearing!

Don't panic, you'll be gorgeous!!
