did you get your state refund before your federal?

The last few years I almost always got state before federal.

How do you folks get refunds from state? Here, state is just X%, X% comes out of my paycheck, and I owe or get $0. I've never had a refund from state in 25+ years.

I always claim zero deductions on my paycheck and then claim 3 on my taxes. Also, we have several credits on our taxes, such as education and property tax credits. Once I owed the state (not much, $70), and after that, I changed how much is taken from my check.

if i filed out my federal last thursday when should i see it was the 30 when i did it

According to the irs website, about 21 days if there are no errors.
