We're wanting our Intimate VR at the pavilion on Tuesday 11th Dec 07 @ 2:30 and have instructed our TA to contact DFTW at the 12 month date as we'll be out of the country. Given that it will be a year out, a Tuesday, at the pavilion at 2:30 - what's the chances of us actually getting everything we want?
I'm a compulsive planner and have planned our whole 16 day trip around this date and time, and wondered if I'm likely to be disappointed?

I think your chances are good. I'm a compulsive planner, too. It's the Accountant in me.
I'm planning my wedding the Thursday before yours! I think your chances are good at getting your date and time for 2 reasons. It's a weekday and it's off-peak season. Plus, you should be able to get room and dining discounts if you go through a Disney travel agent. That is what we are doing, and we got a FANTASTIC deal on Grand Floridian.

I do not know what your chances are, but I have heard of most people getting their first choice. I got my date and time I requested (I am a compulsive planner too and was "penciled in" 15 mos in advance). Best of luck to you :)

thanks for the reassurance - makes me feel a little better.

I'm just worried that there will be a huge rush of brides all wanting the same date/time and I'll lose out - think I'm a pesamist (sp) at heart!!!

Good luck with getting your first choice! We actually had to settle for our second choice but it was not because of disney...it was because a friend of ours picked that date first! :)

We got our first choice of the date, I was nervous about it too before I got someone to actually book it. Initially I wanted 1:00 pm and that was not available, but I was actually happier with 3:00 pm because by then the lunch crowd had cleared out of the lobby and most people were still in the parks for the 3:00 parades. Good Luck!!

That's the date and time I wanted. Okay VR....how many years have you been married? That's the only fair way to handle this without a duel. JK
I'm going for a month earlier. Good luck getting all your wishes! :goodvibes

We actually lost the lottery 5 times. We originally wanted October 21, 2006 but the person who also won September 30, 2006 thus bumping us out of that lottery ALSO won October 21!!! What are the odds of that? So we had put ourselves on the waiting list for that date and when it became available we snatched it! October is a tough month to get a wedding at 5pm on a Saturday in!! Fridays and Sundays or weekdays are easier than Saturdays. I think October and April or May are the more difficult months. :confused3

We lost the lottery three times on Sat. before we decided to go with a Friday night....(but we wanted a sat. night in the summer)

OMG :scared1: :faint:  :worried: - I almost started a hyper panic 'til I realised that JK meant just kidding (right??????). I even checked thru' some of all your previous posts to see if you'd mentioned that date before! - I'm really hyped up about this whole thing aren't I!!!

message to self - TAKE A CHILL PILL!!!!

With a little over two months to go before the date we wanted I didn't think we'd be able to reserve the date we were looking at. But when our wedding consultant got back to us not only was the date we wanted available but we could pick any time of the day we wanted for that day and for the rest of the week. It was all wide open. I guess because it's off-season and not a typical 'wedding' month, kwim?

best wishes!
