Someone else! I thought I'd be the first to post I got married on a golf course (also in MA). But we got married on the 10th hole. Only people in attendance, besides us and the JP, were the owner of the country club and the golf pro. Second wedding for both of us, we'd both done the big church-white gown thing and it didn't last, so this time we decided to do it different. So far 22 years and still going strong (even stronger, I think)!
Church wedding. I'd always wanted a garden wedding, but when I saw my DH's church at Easter - well, let's just say they go a little overboard in the flower department!! It was gorgeous! I also wanted a full mass, but the timing was just all wrong for that and the lunch reception. But it was all sooo beautiful!
Justice of the Peace officiated our wedding on the porch of the Amherst Women's Club, a very old house in town. we just celebrated our 20th anniversary
We got married in the church I went to all my life. I always thought a sunset wedding maybe on a beach in Hawaii would have been nice! Always an option if we want to renew our vows someday.
Dh and I married in the same church that we had met in two years before. It was also the same church we had our dd dedicated in when she came along. We no longer attend that church but it still holds a special place in my heart because two of the most important things in my life were celebrated there.
Because of our hectic schedules, we made an appointment to get married at our courthouse. Luck to have it, the judge was out with a stomach virus. So we called the next county over and their JP wasn't busy, so we got married that afternoon then we both had to hurry home and she to work and I to my ER rotation. No honeymoon til after I finished my medical boards in 1992.
Married in the Little Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas. It was actually tasteful. Just DH and I and the minister. The videographer must have been watching from the "window". It was nice to do it on our own, but I still don't have any china.
