I think they came out in the seventies.

They were pretty ugly  but I admit to owning one back then! :o

Mine had long black hair & was always naked - like the one in the middle picture! :p

I had a few...most of mine were naled, too.

Seems I had them long before the 70s (OMG--am I giving away my age or what??) and then they became popular for a while again in the 80s.

But, yeah--trolls are pretty ugly creatures.

They come in all sizes don't they?? :p

I remember having some little ones that you could put on the end of a pencil. If you rolled the pencil back and forth the troll hair would stand up. It was great entertainment during class.

I had a few trolls, but my sister had more. I was of the attitude at the time that I didn't know what on earth they were good for. LOL, I still don't.

I had a mini troll with long purple hair when I was at school about 10 years ago. I remember my music teacher had the same one too and we called them Mozart, not sure why now!!!! We would sit them on the piano in her room!!

Ha ha ha!! I did the EXACT same thing with the little pencil top trolls. I used to twist their hair around and put it into a bun or other hair styles... :p

My aunt collects these things. Who knew that they would become collectible?

I had a troll with pink hair at my Grandmother's house. We used yarn and sequins to dress it. At my wedding reception, my Mom put a troll bride and groom on our plates and we got two baby trolls when our kids were born.

I have tons of them and my little nieces think its a riot that I keep them in a small garbage pail!!

I had one with orange hair. I bought it when I was in sixth grade and my middle school choir performed a Christmas concert at the Freehold Raceway Mall

I think I had them in the late 60's

LOL! Yep and there are still a few of them upstairs in DS's toy box.

Go to ebay, you can find all you want!

Yep, Had all sizes. Even the little pin ones. I still have two of the pin ones :)

They are pretty popular when I was a kid in the early 90s...i think elementary school.
So yeah I owned a couple. They were like the Beanie Baby trend.

I remember I had a big one dressed in a ballerina costume
