Did you ever have a dream like this?

I've been having recurring dreams of being in school and either being unprepared for class, or bombing a test or coming back after having missed several weeks of school and being really behind. Sometimes I get really lost in the school and get to class late. They're really quite disturbing. I wake up and need about an hour to shake the stressful feeling.

I should point out that I graduated high school in 1983 - not like it was just yesterday or anything.

Am I really weird or have others had this type of dream?

I used to have dreams like that too! Don't have a clue why. I used to dream that I couldn't remember by class schedule in high school and would show up either really late, or in the wrong class. I graduated in 1984 - maybe that's why!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm not kidding, it's really stressful. I wake up exhausted.

When I was taking a psychology class in college the professor brought up that dream and said that it occurs in many people. Kinda strange but I guess school is one thing that we all have in common and we go back to being a kid in some of our dreams.

I have had dreams like that off and on for years.

This year I started having a new one...It's Christmas Eve i haven't bought any presents, and there are no parking spaces at the mall.

It sounds silly, but I woke up in a cold sweat with my heart pounding!

I do have dreams like this, and they are awful!! I am also either really late for class and embarassed to go in, or I have forgotten my locker combo and I can't get my locker open. Geez, you'd think at 34 I'd get over these things LOL. They still freak me out really bad though.

Oh my Gosh! I was just telling MIL about this. This dream is always the same. I am going back to High School and I don't have my class schedule. So I try to go to the office to get it but i end up wandering around the whole school and everyone else is doing the same thing... it's odd. I wonder what it means?

I have the dream where I'm in college and I show up to the class for finals, totally unprepared, and can't figure out why I never bothered to go to the class the whole semester.

I also have a dream where I've gone to college for one year, but now I have to go back to high school and finish my senior year. I'm back in high school, having a rotten time, when it occurs to me that if I managed to get through the first year of college, I might be able to take the GED and get out of high school and get back to college.

to hear that others have had the same dreams. I always thought it was because I spent so much time in school (7 years after hs) that I had these dreams. Many times I dreamt I missed the class all semester and had to take a final. Other times, and the most recent ones, were when I had to write a huge paper and forgot about it until the last minute. I wonder why we dream this? Maybe the dreams are trying to tell me to remember something when I am awake. It is incredibly disturbing.

I've also had the locker thing. I can't remember the combination and I stand there as the halls clear out, leaving me alone with my locker, once again unable to make it to class prepared. I often wonder if it has something to do with my daughter. Maybe subconsciously, I'm worried that these things will happen to her in school?

Yes!!! I have had this dream a bunch of times. I can't believe so many other people have had this dream also. In my dream, I've lost the copy of my class schedule and I am the crowded school hallway and I don't have a clue as to where I am supposed to be going. Maybe the schedule is in my locker, but I am so nervous I forget my combination.

I have never had a dream like that before, but tonight I probably will. I'm very suggestible
