did you ever change schools?

I went to one school k-7, then moved a bunch of times and went to a new school in 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade. I graduated from the school I started in 11th. Those were some crazy years.

Once. I went to a 1-8 Catholic school but after we moved (actually closer to my school's location) my parent wanted me to go to the more highly regarded (compared what would have been my previous neighborhood elementary school) for 6th grade. From that point on I only went to new schools in the regular progression.

Was a bit of a culture shock since the Catholic school required wearing the same uniform, including certain styles of shoes, even for playing sports. It got really awkward wearing Stride-Rite gum rubber cruisers playing kickball or touch football, but we weren't even allowed to wear athletic shoes at all. Once we got to a public elementary school I could wear whatever I wanted within reason.

Only once for me and once for my sister. When I was in kindergarten, we moved from one side of the city to the other, which meant changing schools. The family moved to Florida right after I graduated high school, so my sister switched schools between 7th and 8th grades.

Just from Elementary to Junior High and then High School. All in the same town along with everybody else.

Yes, in elementary school. We moved a few miles and started going to a different elementary school. It was in the same school district, but different "attendance center".

Yep, until I moved where I live now, I never lived anywhere longer than 4 years. I went to two kindergartens, one in Texas and one in Macon, Georgia. I went to first thru fourth grade in a different town in Georgia. I went to one school in Ohio for fifth and sixth grade then went to another school for 7th grade. We moved to a different town in Ohio and I went to 8th grade there. We moved to New Mexico and I went to 9th grade at one school then went to a different school with some of the same people and some different for high school. I went to 10th thru 12th at the same high school but I missed the first half of the year my senior year because we moved out of the country. I then moved back for the last half and lived with my best friends family then moved back out of the country to be with my parents after I graduated. And, no, my father was not in the military. My parents were just nomads and my mom liked to read want ads. Until I moved back to the US I lived in - born in California, moved when I was 3 to Alabama. Lived there for about a year then moved to Texas for a couple of years, then to Georgia for four years to the town my Daddy grew up in, then to Ohio for 4 years, then NM for 3 1/2 years, to the Middle East, back to NM for 6 months, back to the Middle East for about 3 years then back to the States to in and around the area I live now in Georgia.

Once, Freshman year of High School. Went from Public to a Private Church affiliated school. Not a good fit for me, their curriculum was way out of sync, went back to public school and had to take summer school for 3 summers to get back on track.

My high school was closed after my freshman year. The boundaries were redrawn and I was assigned to another school. Those going into their senior years, including my brother, were allowed to choose which district school they wanted to attend. My brother chose a different school than the one I was assigned to. My sister was in the very last graduating class for our original school, so she lucked out!

Yes....K-1, then 2-5, 6 in a different place.
Then same city for 7-8 and 9-12

Just due to the normal progression from
Elementary to the Jr-Sr High.

Every 2 years, but that's just the way our school district was set up.

Moved north from Pittsburgh between 2nd and 3rd grade, so that was an actual change school to a different location with different kids.

Yep! I did pre-k-5th at Catholic school, then went to arts school for grades 6-8th, then arts high school for 9th-half of 10th grade and switched at break to the high school my mom worked at.

I was at the same school in a rural area for my entire childhood. I went to college out of state and never moved back.
