Being a teen in the 70's, I was a huge fan of Bobby Sherman and David Cassidy, and loved the Donny & Marie show. The only album I ever owned though was the Osmond's Christmas album, and it is still one of my very favorites, and I now own it on CD.:D

my answer is not there! Although I did not buy either of the albums mentioned, I do own one made by the "Osmond Boys" (apparently a bunch of one of the Osmond's kids). The appeared at the malls around here probably about 15 years ago.

No records but I do have Joseph (the movie) on VHS. It is a really good movie, and Donnie does have a nice voice!:D

Sadly, yes. I even had the Donnie and Marie barbie type dolls in their purple bellbottom pants.

Is this supposed to be past tense? I still LOOOOOVE Donny! As a matter of fact, I was in the CD store last week looking for some of his music. The most recent one I wanted I couldn't find. I still have a 45 LP of his from about 1974! And I watch my video version of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" as often as possible, just to look at him... Dreamy!:lovestruc .....P

Edited to add: In the "old days" pre-VCRs I used to sit by the tv speaker with a cassette recorder and record The Donny and Marie Show so that I could listen to it later!............P

sure did!! I probably still have them somewhere! LOL Never missed The Donnie and Marie Show!

I had an Osmond Bros album (forget the name) and a Donny double greatest hits album (forget the name of that one too...) The hits set came with a larger than life poster I had on the wall over my bed.

My sister had the purple socks :teeth: .

I admit it. I once had a bunch of Osmonds on records, then in my teens had just Donny on cd.

And I also have the soundtrack to the cast of Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat that he was in. Oh and he sings a song on the Mulan soundtrack...

Whoa! I know way too much Donny Osmond trivia...

noooo, of course not.....why do you ask.......that would be silly........I'd never have....

OK OK!!!! It' true! I owned them all and even had a poster on my bedroom!

But if I had a crush on anyone it was a certain British Monkee!

Yes it is!!! ::yes::

I threw all my albums out quite a few years ago as I would never play them now - to me they were part of the 70's! :rockband:

I can't remember the purple suit though!

auntpolly - was it Davy Jones? ;)

**snip**. LOL!

Actually, I read somewhere that she had it revised. . I saw some recent pictures and she has lost that "Cruella Deville" look. Poor Marie. . .

And yes, I did have some Donny Osmond records! I owned "Puppy Love" and "The Twelfth of Never," which was the first song he recorded after his voice had changed. Had many of us girls just a'swoonin' away! :D

But. . . David Cassidy was my true love. . . . .

***sings. . . "I think I Love you, but what am I so afraid of. . ".*** . .

Donny and Marie! Oh, they were my favorite! Loved the show and I probably wore out my 8 trac!

"A my name is Alice and my boyfriend's name is Andy, we come from Alabama and we like apples..." ;) lol

Of course, I bought Donny and Marie stuff (45's). I am a true child of the 70's!!!

Always watched the show and Donny's purple socks!

I had all the Osmonds records in the 70's. I have to admit I even bought the Osmonds hits on CD and listen to it ocassionally today. What can I say? I like to remember the olden days as my kids call it.
I even went to their New York concerts in '71 & '72.
What is scary is that in 1972 my girlfriend and I went alone while my parents waited outside. I wouldn't let my 13 year old go to a concert alone today!!
I guess from going to those concerts I don't mind taking my kids to Backstreet Boys, Aaron Carter and Good Charlotte concerts.

I picked Donna as my confirmation name in 1971 I didn't tell anyone at that time why, but us Donny fans wouldd know.
:)

I still have the sound track from their movie "Goin' Coconuts"

I even went to the movie. LOL

I'm so embarassed.

I forgot about Marie making records - the only one I can recall was Paper Roses!
