We did not enjoy it when we ate there years ago, but we do want to try it again. I've been reading lots of good things about the restaurant and would love to try it again.

We at there this August and it was very good. If you go you have to get the lobster soup and the chocolate wave for desert.

We loved it! DH and I just had appetizers--the sea & land skewers were very good, the lobster bisque was excellent--to die for, rich and creamy!! The bread was great too. The kids had kids' meals--we tried their grilled mahi-mahi and grilled chicken and agreed that they were first class kids meals. One of the nice surprises was frozen drinks included with the kids' meals--pina colada and strawberry daiquiri, both delicious, that came with souvenir plastic dolphins. Nice atmosphere too, not noisy (we did a late lunch so it wasn't too crowded), beautiful decor, a good view of the tank (even from the 2nd tier) and a friendly, attentive server. We were impressed!

I needed to read this today! We chose CR for our anniversary dinner in a couple weeks and I have been concerned whether it was the right decision (from a food perspective. We've planned some of the special offerings there and the staff has been a joy to work with).

We went there 4/06 & 4/07 & loved it both times. It's all ready on our list for ADRs for 2008.

We always enjoyed LeCellier (DHs E fav). i

in '06 i finally convinced him to try Coral Reef - his new fav.;)

DS so enjoyed his surprise BD Dive Banner this year:thumbsup2

My DD (13) and I LOVED Coral Reef! It was my favorite meal of the trip and she had her favorite food there. I had crab claw salad, Mahi-mahi, and chocolate wave. DD had lobster soup (her fave), shrimp caesar salad, and chocolate wave. We found everything to be delicious and the service was great. :)

This is a difficult question for me. Did I enjoy Coral Reef? I guess overall, my answer would be yes because we had a good experience there - we were there on my son's 5th Birthday and we had a tankside table, diver, etc. That was great. The food, however, was pretty bad. Actually, just the entrees were bad. The lobster bisque and the chocolate wave were delicious.

We voted yes! We ate there on Valentines Day. We had a fantastic server named Riley who was outstanding. The highlight of the evening was when Mickey Mouse went into the dive tank to wish everyone a Happy Valentines day!

Love it! It's a family favorite.

This summer my mom and I split our desserts and we both liked the Jack Daniels mousse better than the choc wave.

We really enjoyed it there. The steak was excellent. The bread was really good. The Creme Brulee was good too. The atmosphere was fun.
We would definitely eat there again.

Food was good but it was WAY too loud!

Thanks for the replies everyone - it sounds like Coral Reef is a keeper.

I was scared after I heard about the "sad, sad crabcake" on the last DIS podcost, but it's sounding like that was an exception, not the rule.

Had lunch there in Feb 2007 for my DH's bday. We had the latest seating for lunch (I think it was 3 or 3:30 PM) I had called the resturant directly and had it set up to have a diver come down in the tank with a sign that said Happy Bday to my DH - he knew nothing about it and was very surprised and thought it was the coolest thing. The food was really good too. I had the Mahi and my Dh had the filet. I didn't quite care for the couscous with the Mahi but the fish was excellent.

And don't forget to save room for desert. Here is the one and only chocoalte wave.

I think CR is great, but I love all things ocean and the atmosphere is perfect for me! I love the blues, greens and the tank!

The chocolate wave is a great dessert, too bad they don't have the ice cream along with it anymore.

We ate lunch there in August and had a wonderful experience. I was nervous because it does tend to get a bad rap on here sometimes, but we had a great time.

You can read my dining review for more details (see siggy).

We ate there for our anniversary in October. They gave us free champagne with strawberries and even offered some to my in-laws who joined us.

Our server was very attentive and we loved the ocean atmophere!
