Did you book bounceback? Which resort and dates?

Just wondering where most people chose to book for next year? After pricing deluxe, moderate, and value resorts I had to choose value again. Gosh...it's so much more even to go up to a mod resort. We booked 14 nights at Pop, Aug 31-Sept 14 but would love to upgrade to either POFQ or WL. I was told by 2 res agents when I called to check pricing that I must make any changes prior to Sept. 28th. I'm afraid to upgrade and then find out our budget only allows a stay at Pop, and then find out it's no longer available. Just wondering where everyone else chose to book for that timeframe. Anyone care to share? ---Kathy

We booked Pop standard Sept. 20-27 2008 with 1 day base tickets.

We are really un decided as to whether we will be going mainly because of the kids' school. We booked because we did not want to miss this great opportunity but we were a bit disappointed with the choice of dates.

We are still debating on this. I brought the paperwork home from the hotel so I can still do it if we dedide to go. The dining plan isn't just worth it to me now. Those tips could really add up! It still is a nice savings, just not sure what we are going to do yet.

:goodvibes I just wanted to add that if you haven't seen it yet, there's a "Bounceback Club" thread started by dreamn disney over on the Community board here on the DIS where people are listing what they've booked during the Bounceback offer and they are keeping track of dates, etc. - here's a direct link to click on to get there:

This might help you decide (or make you mad at WDW!) ;) but from what I have read here on the DIS, you had to book this BEFORE you checked out, no exceptions :guilty:

There are lots of posts on here lately from people who have come home and did not even know the program was going on while they were there and who have called back and were told absolutely not, it had to be booked before they checked out.

Hope you have better luck if you do decide to take advantage of it!

Seahunt- thanks for the link! You are right- no exceptions if you've already checked out of the resort. When I called they had a hard time finding my existing res even though I was calling from my resort room. The res agent struggled and finally called Guest Services to pull up my res- somehow they had my address listed in Elmira, NY...AGAIN...even though I don't know a soul who lives there and my docs came to my correct address. I was told that if they couldn't find my current ressie showing I was a current resort guest that I was out of luck. I contemplated having the front desk fax something over as I wasn't about to give up, even though I'd imagine this offer will also end up being given to Visa and GP further into 2008, just like the last few years. For anyone who did miss out, hopefully it will once again be offered to everyone.---Kathy

We bounced back, booking Pop Preferred 9/14-9/27. I am a bit nervous about Pop honestly, our first (and only) trip to WDW (2007) we stayed at SSR. It was such an awesome place! :goodvibes But... if we came back again, even with free dining, it had to be a value so Pop it is!
