So I am wondering if anyone has had this happen to them:
I got a call today from Disney. They said that they were calling me based on my interview, role (attractions), and major (theatre) and that they wanted to offer me a specific role. It is a role at Innoventions in EPCOT. What I got from the woman who called me is that I would have a script to memorize and I would get a pay raise. However, I am not really sure what the role entails. I am pretty excited to have been selected, though.

So has anyone done this, or know anyone who has? Thanks!

I haven't been inside Innovations in years (other than to use the restroom), but I imagine it's some sort of role where you'll be the one running a show/demonstration. That's really neat, though, especially the pay raise part!

I bet others that have a similar background as you would get the call too. Because it definitely involves spieling in front of large groups of people and lots of memorization, it would only make sense to place people who would be comfortable doing that there.

That's awesome-and you're very lucky you get spiel pay, we at GMR don't ;-;

Anyways it looks like a lot of fun and the nice thing about working at an attraction with a script/show is that it is a lot less boring XD

I hope you end up loving it!

thanks, everyone, I think I'm getting a better idea of what this will be like.
I actually wanted GMR, but I'm sure that this will be amazing as well.

Thats a unique situation. I was pretty sure from my interview that I was getting a spiel ride because my interview asked me only questions about memorizing long monologues and talking to large groups with microphones. And one last minute question of "how do you feel about driving large vehicles - like the Safari" - LOL.
Lo and Behold, I got Safaris with a 75 cent pay raise. No one mentioned this raise to me until I asked my trainer.

Yeah, I heard from a friend who did the program that I might get a mic pack, which I just happen to think would be the coolest thing ever.

Safaris sounds like a cool place to work! How was it?

Thanks for all the congrats!:banana:

Working at Kilimanjaro Safaris was one of my favorite roles that I've had with the company. Granted, it can be a very physically/emotionally exhausting role, but the guests you'll meet, and some of the things you'll see make up for it. For example, when I was there, I got to watch baby elephants growing up. I happened to be driving by the first time one of them "discovered" water, and watching her reaction was priceless. (Step up to the water, just barely dip the trunk in, and run away ... about an hour later, she was up to the "put the trunk in the water for about a second then run away" phase ... a few days later she was starting to very timidly step about an inch into the water ... after 2 weeks, she was jumping in and splashing around like it was nothing)
