Ok I know this happens once in awhile but I’m wondering if anyone else is in the same situation or had it happen to them recently… it’s Thursday 6/16… we sail Sat 6/18… I am still in GTY status without a room I know DCL can wait until the day of to assign it to you… this is my #22 cruise and my #10 since last Aug and the latest I received it was at least by the Tues before the start of the cruise.

I wonder if they might be waiting knowing that people who test positive in their pre-cruise test are going to cancel in the 24-48 hour range.

we wanted to be sure for our wish cruise in August that we had a starboard side room on the 'bump out' if we could - we were GTY but my TA called and was able to get us into a room in our GTY class that I saw was available...

I also never had one assigned that late but they do say it could be until you get to the port.....I guess they mean it LOL! (though I never heard of them assigning that late).

We booked a VGT on May 27 for the Dream 4th of July cruise and were assigned a great cabin on June 10th.

I booked a GTY 11 cat Standard inside stateroom (which killed me because I love my verandahs but, this cruise is FULL) I got my assignment today and I got a Deluxe inside stateroom!! Even though it wasn’t a different Category I am super happy with the split bathroom! There was someone else on the FB group that booked a GTY Oceanview and was upgraded to a cat 7A so they were super happy!

Standard inside to a deluxe inside… I am super happy… it is a very full cruise and over the last couple week they’ve been out of a lot of the categories… I usually book a verandah but at the time I booked all that was available was inside so I am going to use the money I saved for port adventures! I do have a magical porthole so it won’t be as dark as the Magic or Wonder inside
