It was totally AWESOME!!!! I think it was so worth the money!
We were there July4th and we couldn't have asked for a better weather day! It was so much fun! Everything is so well planned out for the guests, they really pamper you there. Even the restrooms have hand towels,no papertowels!! If anyone has qustions let me know!!

Glad you had such a good time, it really is something special isn't it :D

We were also there on july 4th. What time was your swim? ours was at 12:30.

Can I just ask a couple of questions?

1. How far in advance did you book this (we want to do it next July)?

2. What time did you need to be there in the morning?

Sounds wonderful! We can't wait to try it!

DJ, I'm pretty sure you'd be ok to book now. The opening times vary, but I would suggest getting to the park 20-30 minutes before their published opening time. It does take them a little while to process each guest and to get you sorted out with equipment etc.

Get there early! We were there by 7:30am expecting to stand in line because the place doesn't open until 8(I think). But,when we got there it was already open and we got an 11:45 swimtime. The reason being that in the summer there are usually afternoon
storms and people had to return from the day before because their times were cancelled.

::yes:: You won't get any argument from me on that one!:D

We got there about 8:35 and had an 11:45 dolphin swim also. A couple life guards told dh it's better to have an earlier dolphin swim, because by the afternoon the dolphins start to lose interest (which I can understand) and sometimes aren't as responsive. I think I'd read that somewhere on here also.

Our day was also picture perfect without a cloud in the sky.:sunny:

Its a great experience we have booked again for January my DD will be 14 that day:jester:

Airhead- can you remember roughly how much the video and photo's cost! - I have just managed to book after being told for months that they were full every day of our 3 week stay, but got booked for the wed. before we fly home, but need to budget for photo's etc. Thanks

They do a package where u get the video plus photos and keyring photos $180 after tax I think the video is $70 with tax seperate photos start at $16 each but the packages do offer value for money

I just did the Trainer for a Day at Discovery Cove.

We bought two seperate photos and the video for around $97. I watched the video last night and I do think it is good to purchase, though expensive. It's of everyone in your group, just about the whole time you're in the water with the dolphins.

We just spent the day at DC on Aug 20th. It was awesome!!
It is an experience of a lifetime. We arrived about 8:10 for what we thought was a 9:00 opening. We ended up with a 8:45 swim.
This worked out great because the dolphins were ready to go and then we had the rest of the day to go at our leisure. What a wonderful, peaceful day!! We got the video and a CD with 6 pictures on it for close to $200. The photos are not copyrighted so you can print whatever copies you want off the CD. All in all, it is an expensive day but well worth it.
