Did the Disney Savings account get any better?

We're looking at starting this very soon for our next Disney vacation. If we set up automated payments, what does that transaction show up as on my bank statement? Also, can I take Disney gift cards and deposit those as cash into the DVA?

Do you plan to pay off this vacation before the end of the year? If not, I suggest a regular savings account as the DVA could potentially earn you nothing since the bonus program hasn't been extended past 12/31/2017.

Anyway, I'm not sure of the answer about what it shows up as on your bank statement but I can answer your second question because it's all I did! You deposit a Disney Gift Card as a Disney Gift Card. Shows up immediately.

I haven't been able to sign into my account all morning. I can't even get the log in page to load. I wonder if it's still down?

Not sure if you tried recently, but I'm able to log into mine and navigate the pages. Don't have any contributions to, but in, but I was able to click into that part and the normal page came up.

I saw that it hadn't been extended yet. Hopefully they figure it out and get it updated since we'd be saving for a year or two

It shows up simply as "Disney Vacation blah blah" in my account. Yes, you can deposit Disney gift cards into your account, but save them, in case there should be a reason for refund.

OP here, I haven't logged in for a few days and I see the responses went in another direction. Lol. Now I'm nervous. Haha. I think it will help me so I'm going to sign up anyway. Whatever I have I will put towards my cruise at the end of the year and hope they extend the $20 bonus. Thx!
