Are you kidding me? Gingerbread beignets?
Spill (please).....all the details.

Here...I googled it since I thought I remembered the recipe being posted on the Disney Parks blog last year...and so it was.

Sounds like they served these at Cafe Orleans last December. Haven't heard if they are back/coming back this year. Sadly we were not there in December nor do we eat at Cafe Orleans, so my only way to experience these may be to make my own.

That sounds really good!! What other flavors of beignets have been served at DL?

Omg!!! Do tell are they at cafe Orleans ?? Is there a dipping sauce? I will be there in 18 days for my first time!!!!!! I just cried a little. Pumpkin flavored treats Rick my world.

You can find the pumpkin beignets at the Mint Julep window back behind Cafe Orleans (near the train station). Seriously yummy. No dipping sauce....just lots of the traditional powdered sugar. Stop at Jolly Holiday Bakery and pick up a Starbucks on the way over (pumpkin latte is available)!

I love pumpkin as well....just picked up some pumpkin cereal bars at Trader Joes (think Nutrigrain) and I've been told they will be carrying a pumpkin-vanilla chai tea this fall!:)

I'm a sucker for any holiday treat containing the word "pumpkin." I'mm be at DL on Saturday the 22nd, and I can tell you there's no way I'm gonna miss out on pumpkin biegnets!

Last year they had the gingerbread beignets. They were served with the anglinaise (sp) sauce for dipping if I remember right.

Are the pumpkin beignets available thru the Christmas season as well?

Just adding for the pumpkin fans, pumpkin muffins at Disneyland --- YUM-MY!!! I am thinking the new bakery will still carry them since they have been sold at the old bakery for years. They will, right? RIGHT??? Ahhh, hadn't thought about that. Well, anyhoo, if they are there, the pumpkin muffins (historically) - TO DIE FOR!

I am guessing you saw the discussion about the beignets in the Christmas Superthread yesterday (DIS'er twinky was the one who mentioned them), and that's what prompted your question and separate thread.

In this post of the Superthread, there is a lot of information on Fall & holiday treats (and everything else) - there are treat-related blogs; there are excerpts from news pieces from Disney and from Mouse Planet, specifically about treats; there is a long list of treats at the end of the post, etc. Lots and lots of info to be had. Some of the info is a couple of years old or a bit outdated (like the Blue Ribbon Bakery references are obviously not valid anymore), but those remain only until we get an updated version of the same list.

What happens is that in certain years there will be articles and blogs devoted specifically to food-related things at DLR, with actual lists of the details, but it doesn't happen every year. So I keep the older info up - because 75% of the info is still accurate or applicable each year - until we get the most current version of the same comprehensive info.

I am assuming (hoping) that, because DCA's makeover is all finished this year and Jolly Holiday is new on the food scene at DLR, we will begin to see some updated blogs and/or articles from Disney or from non-official Disney sites with new lists of food items.

We had the Gingerbread ones all the way through Christmas. It was served with an eggnog dipping sauce. They were at Cafe Orleans.

The only place I saw the pumpkin ones were in Club 33.

I got the gingerbread beignets at Cafe Orleans shortly after Thanksgiving. They weren't gingerbready enough for me, but I'd had 2 or 3 gingerbread cookies already during that trip, so maybe that was why. My camera battery died so I don't have a good photo. :(

I loved the egg nog (?) dipping sauce, though!

I had the pumpkin biegnets tonight at the mint julip window behind French Market. They have no dipping sauce, they come tossed in powdered sugar. They were absolutely delicious! DL closed at 8pm, but my wife and I made the trip at 6:30 just to get the delicious treats and go on the Mansion with it's NBC overlay. It was one of the better decisions I've made recently!

I'm curious about the gingerbread house in the Haunted Mansion. Did you happen to notice what it is this year? Or maybe snap a pic? ;)

Thanks,
