I thought I saw on my local news this morning that some theme parks in Orlando raised ticket prices to about $53.00. Is this true, or was I seeing things??

SeaWorld did...you weren't seeing things!

It cracked me up that it makes the news, like they're surprised...it pretty much happens each year...it's one of the few things you can count on!

I'm sure Disney and Universal won't be far behind...

look for the prices to go up 1/27 or 1/28 at the latest. Makes those renewals we bought look really good. :smooth:

Busch Gardens in Tampa raised their price also to $52.95

An article in Tampa's paper Sunday, 1/27, listed the history of BGT prices as follows:
1959 to 1969: Free
1970: $1.25
1975: $5.25
1980: $9.35
1985: $14.50
1990: $24.95
1995: $32.50
2001: $49.95
2002: $52.95
(Note: this chart doesn't mean that they raised prices every five years, it just shows what they were every fifth year.)
