who, what, when, where!!! Are they included in the DP? who cares!! Where do I find them?? ::yes::

Yes they are counted as a snack on the dining plan. DH got them at a rolling cart at AK, but I remember seeing them at several of the snack carts we visited. They were covered in chocolate. He thought it was really good!!!

Oh my, that is my must-have treat at WDW - I think I had my first one back in 1974! It's basically a banana on a stick covered with chocolate and nuts then frozen. Most ice cream vendors and carts should have them in all of the parks. Hopefully someone who has used the dining plan can let you know if they can be used for a snack credit.

ETA: whoops, posted right after PP posted about the snack credit.

They have gorgeous chocolate-covered frozen bananas at the Ghirardelli chocolate/ice cream store at Downtown Disney Marketplace. They are probably more expensive than the ones from the snack carts in the parks, but you are getting real Ghirardelli chocolate!! :hyper:

I am having flashbacks to when I was a kid and my parents took me to Disney. We drove from Canada in a van. I was 11 and was car sick the entire way.

We stayed at a KOA trailer park and *finally* made it to the Magic Kingdom, my parents did not have a lot of $$. They also were not ride people. We only did 3 - Carousel of Progress, Country Bears and Jungle Cruise.

Anyway, to the point... my mom brought sandwiches & fruit to the park to be frugal.. the fruit was bananas.

Later as we were leaving I saw people buying these frozen chocolate ice cream treats at a push cart and asked my parents if I could have one. They said yes.. this was a big deal to me. I ordered one and was so happy to take my first bite...... it was a frozen banana :headache: blech

I was so disappointed and I hated it... I peeled the coating off and ate that and then I got yelled at for throwing the banana abomination on a stick away.

:crazy2: :crazy2:

I love frozen bananas. I saw them in a few locations, but bought one at AK from a cart. YUMMMMMMMMMMMM

I had one for the first time in October. BLECH is right! :scared: It was Disgusting!!! Maybe it was the heat...it was sort of half frozen, but a mushy mess.... :crazy2:

I'll stick with the mickey pops! :mickeybar

ABSOLUTELY the best snack there is! However, they're quite hard to find - not all of the ice cream carts have them but my DH is so good that if he sees one, he'll point it out to me....

I'll have to keep bringing him just for that!!! :rotfl2:

I got one from the cart in AK ~ Yummmmmyy.

Oh, I just remember them being so good back in October. It was great that they were on the dining plan. Hubby could get his ice cream sandwich and I could get a chocolate covered frozen bananna. Mmmmm.

I love the frozen bananas!!! :lovestruc A must have treat in Animal Kingdom--is that the only place they sell them or the only place I crave them?? :scratchin Anyway, they are heaven on a stick. And if you aren't doing the DP or want to save your snack credits, they are $2.50--the best $2.50 you will EVER spend!
