Just arrived back from our Nov. 29 - Dec. 9 trip.
Stayed at POP - 2 rooms - a total of 8 of us.
First time during this beautiful time of year.

We had planned to attend MVMCP but we got so busy
doing other Disney/Christmas activities and did not.

I thought that i was going to be disappointed but was not.
There was so many other things to do that were also Christmas related that it didn't make a difference. All i think we missed was the free hot chocolate and cookies. The parades were beautiful, we saw a special Christmas parade at 5:00pm on Saturday that was not announced. The snow and Osborne lights were very beautiful as well. So I am not sure that paying the extra $$$ is worth it for the MVMCP and now i am glad we didn't spend that money.

Does anyone else feel the same?

Sounds like you had fun.
Was the parade at 5:00 because of the taping earlier in the day or was it an extra parade?

It was a special unannounced parade because of the earlier taping -
It was the same parade that they do during the MVMCP.

We also had the vouchers for the early Sat. morning taping - i went with my 2 DD - we were able to see Cheetah Girls, Kelly and Regis, and Ali and AJ.
It was alot of standing around but they the crew made it fun and we had lots of fun. Hopefully, we will see a glimpse of us on Xmas morning on TV.

we did the party on 12/4. I arrived at 4 p.m. and did a few rides before the party. Overall I don't think it is worth the money. Now this is my feeling, fireworks are fireworks. Could get hot chocolate at the hotel with the refillable mug. Not much of a cookie eater. Not much snow was falling on main street. I ended up buying six event pins and a big event pin for $25. Got mad at the parade because some lady came over to me and told me to move because her kids were standing way back (in frontierland) on the steps and could not see through me. I felt if they wanted to see, they could get up and move in front of me. There was no other place to stand unless I wanted to go into the store and stand but then again, maybe I should have stayed in CT and just watched the parade from there. Have not received the "free picture" yet so can't comment on that. Felt I got some money's worth because I did get there around and 4 and stayed until 11:30.

We have been attending the Christmas Party for many years now and would not miss it- we love it - JOHO

Yep. We originally decided not to go because of finances, but we were in MK two MVMCP days recently and had to leave when the party was starting. What a zoo!!!! Total chaos. No thanks. We can't even drink the hot chocolate or eat the cookies (dairy issue), so IMO it would have been a total waste of time for our particular family (Mom, Dad, DS1). We saw lots of cool holiday stuff without spending the extra time and money. JMO.

We just got back from our Dec. 3-10 trip. We didn't go to the MVMCP mainly because I piddled around and didn't get tickets. Personally I was glad we didn't go. We were SO tired after spending the days in the parks that it just wouldn't have been worth it.
As said by others, there were so much Christmas stuff around that we didn't feel like we were missing anything!
