Did modifying of LLMP change?

Ok, so this morning I set up my LLMPs and a few LLSPs.

Later today as I'm going in to see if I can adjust it a bit, it doesn't seem to allow me to modify like in the past.

For example, I want to see if I can modify Remy. However the ONLY option I get is "The earliest time available is xxxx" and the option to select that. I see no option to see if there are other times like I thought there were in the past. For this example I have 1115am currently but wanted to see if maybe a 1030 or so was available, but it's only saying "Earliest time available is 910am" .

Thoughts? Ideas?

Am I not able to see multiple available options or now am I ONLY able to see "earliest time available"?

It still works as normal. Maybe you forgot that you actually need to select the attraction LLMP and/or LLSP tile/card you want to change and on the next screen you will see to bubbles with the different times. Give this a try and see if you get further to select a return time that meets your requirements.

Yea that's what's strange. I only get a selected time saying earliest time. No other options

In the box with the Earliest Time you should see in Blue "Change to this time". Once you press that link the next screen should show the normal bubbles with the other available times.

Do you have an iPhone, iPad, or Android smartphone?

Android. When I do that it selects that time.

I'll try when I get home, thanks!

Thanks for the help. It did help a bit, but still a bit wonky from what I remember in October when we were there.

I can select the pre-selected "earliest time available" then try to edit that one. It's odd because it then shows different times and always much later than the pre-selected. But at least it's an option.

For the life of me I don't understand why they don't allow LLs to be modified, purchased etc on the PC and only the app, but I'm sure there's a reason.

That's the way it works. It always wants to add the "new" modified LLMP attraction return time window after your other currently scheduled selections. It appears the design of LLMP and/or LLSP did not take into account that you would want to insert or "adjust" you LL return times to be before your earlier LL selected times or even to insert a LL between 2 currently scheduled return times without a large time gap.

Also often there are fewer LLMP return times in the earlier part of the day.

That's why we always suggest that you make full use of your 5 minute hold time during the initial purchase process to optimize your LLMP return times be completing the purchase.

That was a design choice. It was / is cheaper to only develop 2 flavors of the LLPM and/or LLSP function vs the need to support the various flavors of Web browsers / device platforms for the online version of MDE. It is also quite complicated to make web apps perform in the same way the 2 Mobile models (iOS and Android) function. It is hard enough keeping the iOS and Android apps updated with new features while maintaining (bug fixes) existing functions.

I also have a “modifying” question - I have a friend going to WDW next week and we’re linked as family and friends on the app, so I can see all her LLs.

I’m trying to modify her Slinky Dog time for an earlier one, but every time I hit “modify,” I get an error. She should be able to modify, right? Do I need to log in AS her to do this? I just want to make sure there’s not a “no modifying until the day of” rule or something I’ve missed…

(We went last summer before this whole “reserve a week early” situation…)

Yes you should be able to modify any of her LLMP and/or LLSP selections since you can see time that implies that she fully shared her plans with you in her MDE account.

What error are you seeing?

The most common error when trying to modify SDD is that there are very few or no actual available return times to switch to. Check her "My Day" plan and see if she has anything listed that would overlap the new time your are trying to select for her SDD.

No there is not restriction but it often does not work when trying to modify to an earlier time but oh so easy to modify for a later time in the day. And yes there is more flexibility on "day of" park visit that begins right at 7 AM on the day but the challenge is still the limited inventory of available LLMP and/or LLSP slots. For attractions like SDD due to it's popularity with a wide range of guests there may never be a time to grab a return time that day.

Thanks!

When I try to click “modify” on any of her LL selections (including unpopular ones with lots of availability), it tells me “something went wrong, we were unable to load your details, please try again.” It also says “purchase lightning lane passes” at the top of the page.

It’s been doing this for three days, and again, it does it for everything, not just SDD.

I can see people are unfortunately cancelling trips due to weather, and so I wanted to see if anything would open up for her, but since I can’t modify anything… 🤷‍♀️

First question are you using the iOS or the Android version of the MDE app and the latest version? The iOS version was just updated yesterday to version 8.6.

I am just guessing on the issue at this point. It sounds like maybe her plans are not fully shared with you in her MDE profile. A quick test would be for you to start the purchase of a LLSP on any eligible day and see if you see you and her (all) parties show up in the travel group after you Press the first "Continue" button.

You might also ask her to go to her Family & Friends list in MDE, select the “Settings” button next to that your name and verify that the switch is on the toggle next to “Allow to view all of your plans.”
