So i'm hoping i can at least find some advice here...I have an Olympus FE-210 camera currently. Yesterday I took it to the beach and got sand in it..I got home and tried to use compressed air to blow it out but the lense would not come out..I left it sit overnight and tried it again and the lense SOMETIMES comes out, sometimes goes back in, but my screen does not show anything except when the batteries are dead on it...it sounds like the camera is trying to work but just does not..I called the one camera repair place around here and they will not work on it since it's not a Canon or Sony..

So Did I totally wreck the camera? I can not take it apart because there is some locking screws or something of that sort on it..I am constantly taking pictures of my kids so i NEED a camera..if this one is shot then it seems everyone is recommending Canon's A series...Does anyone know when those go on sale??? It's more than I can afford right now but they seem like a good camera..this is my second camera in 2 years, the other was stolen...

Thanks so much for the help!

The short answer is yes it is broken. I did a quick check of that camera. You can find it new for $70. Most camera shops will not look at cameras for that and it would not be worth getting fixed.

Get you something new.
