I was reading my brand new Unofficial Guide 2005 and it said that I could make dining reservation online. Is this true and where do I go?

That would be spectacular!! It sure would cost them less. but unfortunately I bet a few people would loose jobs because less CM's would be needed for dining calls.

I welcome it though for ease and saving time.

I have not seen this yet but it would be great.

That would be wonderful, but I haven't heard of the online priority seatings.......yet.......but I am hopeful! :flower1:

The guide didn't say where to go just mentioned it could be done. I went to disneyworld.com and tried to find it but could not. Is Len Testa out there to answer????

I am....but I don't recall seeing this in the Unofficial Guide. What page is this on, lfontaine? I'll direct the question back to our restaurant team.

Thanks for reading the Guide!

Len

Oh WOW! You work for the Unofficial guide? (Sorry, I'm new here)

That's so cool! I have like every one since 1996! It's my favorite of all the guides (and the only one I have ever bought more than once!)

Keep up the great work!

I have been reading my new 2005 Guide and just grabbed it to see if I could find any mention of Disney accepting PS requests online. I couldn't find anything. There is a mention on page 347 of the telephone reservationists using a "computer template" to help them book the PS. Could this be what the OP saw and misread?

I hope I am wrong--It would be great to make dining reservations online!

When did 2005 come out? I just found 2004 at my local Barnes & Noble. ARGH!:( I have been unable to get any info on the new Stitch ride at MK. Was hoping for a summary of what to expect. I agree, online PS' would be great but I'm fairly certain there would be a lot of abuse. I myself am guilty of double booking but always try to call and cancel the one(s) we decide against.:earsgirl:

rcraw45425, from everything I've heard, the new Stitch attraction will appeal to young children a lot more than the previous version. More fun, less screaming in terror. Can't wait for the AP previews.

disneyfn, thanks very much.

Thanks, Len. I have to tell you, I love your books! I have purchased three editions, always find the info very helpful. My husband shakes his head when I start spouting off about things I've read then he sits back and says, wow, you were right. THis board has been very helpful too.

I've got the last 11 of them. Sometimes, I love to go to the old ones, from the early 90's to see how things have changed. So what's new in the 2005 edition?

I picked up a copy at the Library since I read on this board how good the book was and even at 2 years old It was the best resource I have seen. Maybe after I pay off my disney loan I can buy my own copy.

you can make reservations for restaurants at the S/D online

Near the top of page 23 in the section about Walt Disney World on the web:

"You can buy theme-park admissions and make resort and dining reservations online."

I'm looking at my copy of the UG now - it definitely says at the top of page 23 that you can make dining reservations on line - which has to be incorrect because Disney doesn't make reservations??
