Did I read somewhere that Soarin' is getting a new movie?

It has been rumored for a while (since the attraction opened) that Soarin' will eventually get a new movie to make it different than Soarin' Over California at DCA. I havent seen any confirmation myself yet though.

it was supposed to have gotten a new film for epcot's 25, or so the rumors went. i believe they have done some filming though.

I would love to see Soarin over the East Coast.

Start in Maine with lobsters then off to Vermont, New Hampshire with skiers in the Mountains,

further along to NYC with Broadway lights,

keep going into the seaside boardwalks of NJ and in PA the libery bell,

over the Delaware River, Virginia Victorian homes along the coast line,

North Carolina golf courses, South Carolina pecan farms and pies baking,

Georgia peach trees and finally WDW in FL.

When we had lunch with imagineer Cathy Carver (designer of Cinderella Castle suite) I specifically remember her telling us they were goign to make a "new soarin." Wether that meant a new movie, new concourse, or what, I don't know. But that was summer 2007 so I don't know if they scrapped it or just didn't get around to it yet...

This would be great!

Question, in California....is the end shot of Disneywork???? Or is it also of Disneyland.

I just don't know.

Its Disneyland, you can see the moat and everything and the theme is California.

I do hope the new one (whenever that will actually be playing) will be just as amazing as the first. I love Soarin'!

I would like a Soarin' over America. Start with sunrise at Disneyland head across the country yellowstone, the grand canyon, the arch in St Louis, the Mississippi, the New York skyline, humpbacks off new england and end at Illuminations

Would be nice to have a different--and a LONGER--movie. Couldn't Soar too far over America in that short time span they have now!!

It's Disneyland in both DL and WDW. That's one thing I think they should have done for the WDW version is make it actually flying over WDW!! Not DL (The matterhorn and tiny castle give it away, lol)

I love Soarin', but really would love for it to be quite a bit longer! It would also be fun if they had a way to make a few different movies and mix it up to where you never knew which one you were going to get...

That would be great!! But the problem with that--and a movie too much longer--would be the wait times. Look how long the wait can be now. They would probably need an entirely new "theater" to go along with the movie.

Yes!! That would be wonderful. :cloud9:
