just checked the ROFR boards and what seemed to be a good contract doesn't seem that way anymore. Thoughts- SSR-February-150 '15-80 points, '16-150 points..$74 buyer pays closing.

I'm not sure what you are looking at that is concerning you. Of the last ten SSR ROFR entries 7 of them are for more than you paid. My advice to you is now that you have a contract, walk away from the ROFR thread and just enjoy your membership.

There will always be that one or two lowball offers that found the right desperate seller.

Good advice. This is my 4th resale. The prices went up a lot. The other listings seem to have loaded points?

sounds like a good price to me. Prices have been going up a lot this year. I'm of the mentality that you paid under Disney direct so it's a good deal :)

IMO, you got a good deal. You are getting half of the current use year points (about half of the use year will be gone about the time you get into the system and can book), and a full complement for 2016.

Prices have gone up lately and it seems that loaded and stripped are selling for about the same ppp. Perhaps you didn't get a great deal, but IMO, you certainly got one that is fair to both buyer and seller.

Keep in mind that a few hundred up front isn't going to matter that much over the life of the contract. You'll be paying much more in dues over the life of the contract than you did for the initial buy-in.

Good luck with ROFR!

It doesn't seem out of line. Let's say you would have gotten it for $2 less per point. Would you really risk not getting the contract you wanted for $300? It is easier said than done, but stop worrying about the price. Don't live life worrying about the things you have no control over. Enjoy you many upcoming vacations!

You paid a good price. The SSR contracts specially have been going up and low 80's seems the norm (non loaded) and mid to high 70's loaded. You will see price variances now and then, but my guess is those are distressed contracts (bankruptcies, etc) and bring along a whole slew of issues on closing. If you have that much patience, and can risk contracts being taken thru ROFR, you can always try.

I like what DisneyRegulars said. Enjoy your purchase and we all know there are people who are still paying $140-$165 buying direct.

I'm in contract to pay $85/point for 100 SSR and I don't feel like I over paid. COULD I have waited longer and found something a few $ cheaper, probably. But it's the UY we wanted, number of points we wanted, and is coming with some bonus '14 points. Plus we have plans to go to Disney next year so if I had to rent points for that upcoming stay, that would have canceled out any savings I find in waiting for a cheaper contract to show up. And I still paid almost half of direct price so I'm totally ok with what I'm paying.

Prices are really going up lately. I think it's because many are not interested in poly and a lot more are looking resale. Today's prices are often more than that.

And hey..we all got a great deal if we're not paying 160 to 170 direct prices
