Did I miss this "catch" to the fastpass voucher or was the CM wrong?

Just redeemed our volunteer vouchers yesterday for our party of 7. Six were redeemed for tickets, two of those upgrading to a 5 day pass. I was redeeming mine for fastpasses, since I still had one day left on my 10 day non-expiring ticket.

I was very suprised when the CM said he could only give fastpass cards for the two who had upgraded to a five day pass. He said whoever receives the cards must have atleast 2 days left on a multi-day ticket, implying that I would be unable to get one for myself as well. I was under the assumption that 1. Only the voucher redeemer had to have a multi-day ticket and 2. There only had to be 1 day left on the ticket.

I continued to politely disagree with him and he finally said he would try it, but felt certain it would not work. Well, he tried it by scanning each person's ticket and it did work. He did have to get a supervisor to approve enough cards for all 7 of us and acted like he was doing a big favor for us in giving fastpasses to everyone and not just the 2 with multiday tickets. So, was I confused or was he?

Only the person whose name is on the voucher needs a valid multi-day ticket. Everyone else in the group just needs a valid ticket.

Thank you, that's exactly how I understood it as well. He was just very insistent that I was wrong. I do hope he gets his info straight, and any other customers will know their stuff if they get him.

Exacty right.

When My family went we had 5 vouchers. I redeemed 3 for tickets and then Bought my son a 2 day pass. Once he had a multi-day ticket in hand we were able to redeem his voucher for Fastpasses.

Only the person redeeming needs a multi-day ticket ,everyone else just needs a valid park ticket

As we know, not all the CMs are on the same page on this...

This particular CM probably hadn't come across the issue before, and misunderstood the requirements. After all, how often will one person in a group have a multi-day ticket, and everyone else single-day tickets?

Hopefully the supervisor discussed it with him afterwards.
