Did I mess up? No AK FP

Hi everyone- We (DD3, DW, and I) leave Saturday for our week long trip to DW. Yay! So. When I got my FP+, of course I was shut out of A&E like lots of people. Then, a few weeks later late evening A&E FPs were released. In order to get them, I dropped all of my AK FPs. Now I'm getting worried that we'll have an awful day at AK just to meet the princesses. We aren't trying to ride EE - the FPs were for the Safari, Finding Nemo and Dinosaur (which we probably won't actually ride as it will be too scary for my 3yo.) Did I mess up? Any advice? Thanks!

You should be fine - I would do Safari at open and then line up for whatever Nemo you want.

Not as far as I'm concerned. AK was, by far, the easiest park to navigate without fp+'s. The safari will be your biggest challenge, so hopefully you'll get to the park at rope drop and if so, I'd ride that first. You really don't need a fp for Finding Nemo and Dinoaur is not a bad standby line. If you do make rope drop, I'd do Dinosaur right after the Safari if you decide to ride it.

At any rate, the only line I think you'll have to really worry about is Safari. I would've dropped the fp's too if I really wanted A&E. There's so much to see at AK that doesn't require a fp that I'm sure you'll be fine.

I hope you'll be ok, because we're going to AK without fp's as well!! We have a BOG adr later in the day, so we're spending from rope drop until around 3pm at AK and I figured we could get by without them and save them for MK. We don't do EE or Dinosaur, so I'm hoping we'll be good.

I think you'll be fine, just try to get there at rope drop and ride the safari first, and arrive to Nemo 20 - 30 minutes early.

Park attendance nose dives in the afternoon. Do Safari at rope drop. If your daughter wants to meet Pocahontas leave safari and head back down to the trails. Be in line by 9:40, then head back to FotLK and Nemo afterwards. After that have lunch and then hit Dinosaur.
We only ride Safari and Triceratops when we go. The rest of our visit is morning vet stuff at Conservation Station, the "zoo like" exhibits, and characters. We typically go in early August when the crowd level is higher so I'm guessing this will work at lower crowd levels too.
You can also grab FP+ one at a time from park kiosks but I suspect that may be more hassle than its worth.

I don't think she can with passes at another park for later.

We purposely did not choose FP's for AK because that day we will be in MK in the evening and that is when I got 7DMT FP's... so I did the same thing you did kind of. I look at it this way.. I check the wait time often and AK waits are always super low- it almost seems like a waste to use FP's there. When we go in November, we walk right on Everest, Safari is about 20 minutes in the morning and Dinosaur is always a 10 minute wait. I would not worry about it and keep it as is. :thumbsup2

This is what stinks for park hoppers because you have to choose one of the two parks.

Thank you so much. I feel so much better. I was so worried that A&E FP availability clouded my judgement.

That golden FP+ should now make you relax :goodvibes everything else will fall into place. As others have advised go to safari first thing. Then plan your day from that point on. You'll be fine.

AK is the park with the least need for FPs. During the summer Kali Rivers would have long waits in the afternoon. As PP have said do the Safari at RD, then Dino, EE and then the shows you want to do.

Ha. I totally forgot that was the whole point of the thread. She won't need the fastpasses anyway. :)
