Did I make the right choice?

Hello all,

My family and I are coming to Disney in November. I originally had a reservation at CBR -- then I started reading reviews that weren't so flattering regarding the resort and changed our hotel to POR. We've stayed at POFQ and loved it and tried to get in there again, but all their rooms were full. Did I make the right choice by switching? I don't wanna dog any resort, but is CBR really that bad??? Someone please tell me I didn't make the change in vain!!!

I would choose POR or POFQ over CBR all the time. At POR they also have either the Mansions or Alligator Bayou areas. Check out a map of POR & maybe request the area you'd like to stay in.

Another nice feature of staying at POR is the boat transportation to Downtown Disney. Nice & relaxing.

Yes I also think you did the right thing and you def will not regret it. But for every bad report for CBR there will be loads of people saying it was great. I don't think the CBR is 'that bad' as you put it, but its just not as good as POR/POFQ which often rates as one of the best of all resorts at WDW.

I think you did make the switch for no reason, but now that its done I wouldn't worry about it. CBR is a great resort. I personally would stay at CBR anyday over POR or POFQ. But resort preference is a personal choice. All the bad reviews are over blown. There are just as many bad reviews on POR if you look for them. I think you would have enjoyed CBR, but now that the change is made I'm sure POR will be fine.

I stayed at the CBR and loved it

I've stayed at POR (mansions) and CBR (Jamaica).

I think you should have kept CBR.
